Chapter 27 : Loving Arms.

Xiao laid in his bed, looking up at the ceiling blankly.

So he really didn't want me to kill him?
Xiao rolled onto his side.

Why is that?
Xiao wondered.

Perhaps he really wanted to kill Kaeya Alberich himself.
Xiao shook his head.

No. That's not it, is it? Maybe he still...
Xiao gasped slightly.

Maybe he still loves him?
He couldn't find a reason that said he wasn't, which worried him.

Don't be stupid boss. He's a police officer, you're the leader of the Fatui. Nothing can change that.
Xiao sighed.

Well, unless Kaeya joined the Fatui of course. But I doubt that'll happen. Boss probably already tried to ask him.
Xiao curled up into a ball, hugging his knees.

I guess I'll leave him alone. But I still have that girl I need to kill. Hopefully it won't be as hard as Kaeya Alberich.
He groaned thinking about the name.

"Kaeya!" Rosaria shouted while Lisa and Venti were behind her.

"Rosaria? Lisa, Venti, what are you all doing here?" Kaeya looked surprised, he hasn't told anyone about what happened to him so how did they know?

"That detective told us, I guess he had taken your phone and texted us with it." Rosaria replied, but she made it sound like it wasn't important and went to grab Kaeya's hand.

Kaeya winced as Rosaria and the others examined it thoroughly.

"I thought only family could come and visit...and of course Kazuha." Kaeya said, Venti suddenly put on a smug smirk. "I had a few tricks up my sleeve."

Lisa tilted her head towards Venti with a disapproving look, "Tricks?" She scoffed, "All you did was wait in the corner while Rosaria and I distracted her!"

Venti looked away and pouted, crossing his arms he mumbled; "Yeah, yeah...whatever."

"Now, tell us what happened." Rosaria gave Kaeya a pitiful look.

Kaeya then explained the whole situation about why he was in the hospital, Albedo's name not being mentioned even once.

Everyone looked terrified after Kaeya finished explaining.

"Don't look at me like that, you said you wanted to know!" Kaeya smiled nervously.

"Well I didn't expect something like that..." Rosaria looked away, trying to process it all.

Kaeya sighed. He really wanted to tell them about Albedo, but he knew that wouldn't be smart.

"Thanks for visiting me. It's nice seeing you guys, I know it's been awhile." Kaeya looked down at his hands with a soft smile, which his hair hid half of.

"Don't get all emotional and crap, you're gonna make us cry." Rosaria joked in a shy tone, which was very rare for her.

Kaeya laughed, it must've been contagious because not soon after everyone started laughing with him. It was nice being around people he loved. It was a different feeling then he had with Albedo...it felt more serene.

Zhongli looked down upon the sleeping blonde. After he found Albedo having a panic attack in the corner of his office, he talked to him until he calmed down and put him to bed—which then Albedo quickly fell asleep.

I wonder why he was so upset.
Zhongli thought hard about it, but ending up giving up.

I'll let him rest.
Zhongli walked out, closing the door slowly so it wouldn't make any noise.

Zhongli sighed and turned around, only to be met with Dottore standing right in front of him.

Zhongli yelped "Jesus fuck!—Dottore?!" Zhongli put a hand on his heart, it was beating faster then it should've from the shock.

"Oops. Didn't mean to scare you," Dottore chuckled a little under his breath. Zhongli shook his head, "What do you need Dottore?" Zhongli's tone was a little aggravated.

"Well I was hoping Albedo was a available. I have something very important I need to discuss with him." Dottore gestured to the door behind Zhongli which lead to Albedo's room.

"First of all, you shouldn't address Mr. Kreideprinz by his first name, second; he's sleeping right now so, no, he is not available." Zhongli replied. Dottore sighed.

"If it's really that urgent, you can tell me." Zhongli suggested, even if he declined before, Dottore didn't want to have to wait any longer.

"It's about the Fatui's money..." Dottore started, "And what about it?" Zhongli raised an eyebrow in curiosity.

"We're running out of money."
