"The Fatui is what?" Albedo teethed as his anger bubbled inside of him like boiling water. "I was gonna tell you sooner but—" "How did you let this happen?! How did this happen?" Albedo refrained from making any physical actions to Pantalone, instead he paced around back and fourth.

Zhongli mouthed the words; 'this wasn't the best time to tell him!' To Pantalone, Pantalone put on an apologetic face and flashed it to Zhongli in a way of saying he was sorry.

"One idea is because of those drug lords you signed a deal with a few weeks back...they seemed to be enemies with all of our allies." Pantalone said in a nervous yet somehow formal voice. He was trying to keep Albedo from blowing up with the rage he knew Albedo felt.

"What? Really?.." Albedo paused as he thought for a few moments. He then jerked his head to Pantalone, "And how do we fix this?" Albedo's tone was unsettling and gave Pantalone goosebumps. "I'm...not sure yet." He replied with full honesty.

"That's great." Albedo's voice was sarcastic and flat. He started walking off to his office angrily, his shoes tapped on the floor as he did. Zhongli caught up with him and started walking with him.

Pantalone let out a big sigh as he watched Albedo leave. He felt relieved that Albedo hadn't given a punishment to him—well, yet—and that he was the one to tell Albedo and not Dottore. He was gonna have to shove it in his face later today.

"I can't believe this," Albedo muttered under his breath. "I'm sure we can fix it sir," Zhongli said with a slightly worried tone. "There's uncertainty in your voice Zhongli," Albedo glared at him. Zhongli looked away with a frown.

Kaeya couldn't stop thinking about what Albedo said, 'Why did you say you didn't want to betray your city by joining the Fatui, but then do this?' 'Both ways you are betraying your city.' He was right. That's what he hated so much.

Why couldn't he have just been a normal man?

Why couldn't he have had a normal life?

Why do I have to love someone I can't have?

These questions made Kaeya's head dizzy, or maybe that was just the alcohol. He wanted to cry, he want to scream, but he knew if Albedo was there then he wouldn't like that. So he refrained from doing any of that.

Kaeya then thought back to Nikolai. He was a much better option for Albedo...much safer. But Kaeya didn't trust Nikolai, not one bit. Maybe he should tell Kazuha about Nikolai...no, then he'll be suspicious about how Kaeya found out about him. Kaeya just shook it off, he didn't want to be bothered by it anymore.

The next morning, Kazuha woke up in the police station. "What the fu—ow," A powerful pain came from his head, a hangover. "You're finally awake." a officer said with judgmental eyes.

"How did I get here?" Kazuha asked as the officer gave him a water bottle.

"The bartender at Cat's Tail dropped you off here, said you were laying in the alleyway. Must've passed out. Very unprofessional for a detective, especially one that's working on the Fatui Case." The officer sighed.

"I knew they shouldn't have put someone so young on the case." The officer shook his head in disapproval as he looked back at Kazuha, "You can leave whenever you like, preferably now." The officer gave him a nasty look.

Kazuha grunted softly, "Alright. Thank you for letting me stay here for the night." Kazuha got up from the itchy chair he was in. "Didn't let you, I had to. Farewell Fatui boy." The officer curved a smirk on his face as he watched Kazuha leave.

Fatui boy? What a foolish nickname.
Kazuha hoped that wouldn't stick. He headed to his apartment as he tried to remember what happened last night.

Once he reached his apartment, he went straight to his office. Well, his living room. He didn't have an actual office so he always used his living room.

Come on Kazuha, think! What happened last night?...
Kazuha thought to himself as he went to grab the Fatui's file. He skipped through the pages before he landed on a long, brown haired man's picture.

"Zhongli.."
