Xiao knocked on Albedo's office door.
Zhongli answered, as expected.
"Oh, hello Xiao. Come in, Mr. Kreideprinz has been waiting for you." Zhongli moved out of the way for Xiao to enter.
"Thank you." Xiao went in and went straight over to Albedo's desk.
Albedo smiled, though it was so obviously empty. "Hello Xiao, I've been wanting to talk to you about your first mission—is it going well?"
No.
"Yes sir." Xiao returned the empty smile.
Zhongli went to Albedo's side. He couldn't believe Albedo was working with the hangover he had. And he was so good at masking it.
Albedo looked deep into Xiao's eyes, the room went dead silent as he analyzed him.
What the fuck is he doing?
Xiao just kept on smiling to make it seem like he wasn't uncomfortable.
"Are you lying to me Xiao?" He finally said, any hint of emotion from earlier fading away into a cold, soul shaking tone.
Xiao let out a soft gasp and bit his lip, he tried to not look away—for that would show vulnerability.
"Yes sir..." he mumbled shamefully.
Albedo shook his head in disapproval, "I thought Zhongli taught you well. If this mission is too hard for you then I can—" Xiao stopped him by aggressively shaking his head back and fourth, "No! I won't let you down boss, I can do it."
Albedo let out a embarrassed chuckle as he tilted his head to the side a little, "Alright Xiao. But really, if you don't think you can finish this mission I can give you another one." Albedo added a soft 'and don't call me boss' after speaking.
Xiao stood up, "Thank you sir. But I will not fail this mission, even it takes me twenty years. I will succeed." Xiao seemed pretty confident, so Albedo decided to dismissed their short meeting.
Xiao grabbed his coat and base guitar case and decided to head out in search for his target, Kaeya Alberich.
Once Xiao got on the streets, the first place he went to was the police station where Kaeya worked. This was a little dangerous but Xiao was confident in not getting caught.
He laid up against the brick wall of the department and waited.
And waited.
And...waited.
He got there at 10:20 AM... it is now 12:30.
Where is he?!
Xiao looked around a bit, maybe he missed him going in!...nope, he wasn't there.
Maybe I'm at the wrong station...
Xiao went back to his notes to see if he got the wrong address.
As he was panic-looking over his notes, he didn't seem to hear the footsteps coming from in front of him.
"Excuse me?" A voice spoke. Xiao looked up from his notes to see a white haired man, though he was rather young.
"Yeah?" He had a Little attitude but the man didn't seem to notice.
"You're blocking the entrance." The white haired man spoke almost coldly, but his voice was too soft to be intimidating to Xiao.
Xiao looked him up and down before moving out of the way with his arms crossed.
"Thank you." The white haired man went in, Xiao wasn't very interested in him but he did hear someone greeting him from inside.
"Morning Kazuha!" They said to the white haired man, "Good morning." The white haired man (who he presumed was Kazuha) politely replied.
