The bar, named The Cat's Tail, was candle lit and tiny, with 6 people not including the bartender. It set a cozy, homey mode and the drinks were good too. A shame it was next to a very popular tavern called Angel's Share, if it wasn't then it would for sure be a hit.

Kazuha laid his head down on the bar counter, trying to stay awake.

"Let me pour you another drink," The bartender said with a devious smirk. "No, no...I can't." The white-haired man shook his heavy head. He then looked up at the filled shot glass in front of him, "Maybe just one more," Kazuha grabbed it and chugged it down, slamming it on the table when he was finished.

"I didn't expect someone so young as you to be such a drinker, gotta be careful with that liver." a random man said, smiling at Kazuha. "Shut up old hag," Kazuha said, a bit surprised that that really came out of his mouth. Guess things just slip out when you're not yourself. The man frowned and grunted before returning back to his drink.

"How much do I owe you?" Kazuha looked up at the bartender, "Hmm, 50 bucks. But I'll let go a 10 if you do something for me, yeah?" The bartender looked down at Kazuha with a smirk. "No, no. I can just pay the 50." Kazuha took out his wallet and looked through the slits...but there was only $40. "Shit." He mumbled, "Do you take credit?" He asked hopefully, the bartender shook his head.

Kazuha bit the inside of his lip, "Fine. What do you want me to do?"

"You've been mumbling to yourself about how you're a detective all night, so I wanted you to investigate the outside of this tavern for me," the bartender sighed and looked away, "I've been hearing some things coming from outside but every time I looked I couldn't find anyone. I assume it's an animal but I'm too..er—busy to go check."

Busy? Yeah right. He's just scared.
Kazuha sighed.

The bartender looked back towards Kazuha, "And don't try to run off without paying, I'll be having a close eye on you." He pointed to Kazuha.

Kazuha mumbled something under his breath but the bartender didn't hear him. "I can't believe you are asking a drunk man to do this," Kazuha said as he got off his chair and started walking to the door.

"If something attacks 'ya just scream and I'll come out!" The bartender called to Kazuha across the tavern, Kazuha rolled his eyes and walked out, the bell on top of the door chimed as he exited.

Kazuha couldn't even walk straight, if there really was something there then he would have a pretty hard time protecting himself...but he doubted that there really was anything.

"Come out, come out wherever you are..." he snickered to himself then yawned. He shined his phone flashlight around the area.

He was about to just go back inside and say that there was nothing there before he heard the tapping of someone's shoes. He let out a small gasp as he turned his head towards the alleyway that separated Angel's Share and Cat's Tail. When he shined his light there, it revealed a tall, 6'1 from what Kazuha would've guessed, a man with dark hair that faded into an autumn-like color. He was wearing a dark suit and expensive-looking shoes. This is just what Kazuha noticed at first glance.

"What are you doing over here? The bartender over in The Cat's Tail thought you were an anima—!" Kazuha suddenly felt his body smack against the pavement of the ground, his phone went flying to god knows where. It was dark again, he had to squint to see the person's face more clearly. "What do you think yo—!" The man put a hand over Kazuha's mouth and stopped Kazuha's struggling legs by sitting on them, using his free hand to bring Kazuha's hands over his head.

"You're a detective, yes? Why are you here? Have you come to capture him?" The man narrowed his eyes down at Kazuha and spoke with a cold voice.

What is he talking about? Capture who?
He couldn't even answer with this guy's hand over his mouth, all he could do was let out his muffled voice and look at him like he was crazy.
