"Take off your mask," Albedo demanded. "But someone could see us—" "Take it off."
Kaeya hesitated before he agreed with a nod. When he took his mask off, he could see Albedo getting even angrier. So much so, that he needed to look away from Kaeya just to cool off.
"Why are you here Kaeya," Albedo spoke, crossing his arms. "Tell me if I'm mistaken but...it seems like you're upset with me?" Kaeya fidgeted with his mask, awaiting Albedo's response.
"Aren't you a genius?" Albedo mumbled. He sighed before looking back up at Kaeya, "Maybe I am. But that shouldn't matter to you considering all you want me for is some case."
A series of excessive blinking followed Kaeya's baffled look. "What? I'm not using you for a case, what are you talking about?"
"I don't want to deal with this while I have someone just on the other side of that door. Please leave before I call someone to escort you out." Albedo massaged the bridge of his nose.
Kaeya clenched his jaw and fought back a frown, "Who is he? That man in your office."
"That does not concern you," Albedo said. "Does not concern me? God." Kaeya let out a short chuckle, "I've kissed you, made love to you, I've been there for you while you were a sobbing mess—and it does not concern me? What bullshit."
"I said I don't want to deal with this right now. Please leave." Albedo put his hand on the doorknob of his office, ready to go back in. Kaeya grasped his wrist, and Albedo immediately jerked his head towards Kaeya with an angry look, but there was a small hint of fear that he must've forgotten to cover. It is just then that Albedo realized the bandages on Kaeya's hands.
"I don't want you to go back in there. I don't like him. Just come take a walk with me and we can sort all this out." Kaeya's grip tightened. Albedo's anger all melted into fear, his body went cold as he looked into Kaeya's deep, dark eye(s). The more he looked, the more the world around him went dark enough to the point he could only see Kaeya standing in front of him.
Kaeya must've caught on that he had been frightened him, so he quickly let go. The thought of having scared Albedo scared himself more.
"I apologize I—...I'm sorry." He didn't know if any other words except those would be right. Albedo collected himself after taking a deep breath. "Angel's Share, 8:40 tonight." He blurted. "What?" Kaeya said.
"We can talk then. Don't be late or you'll lose your chance." Albedo didn't let Kaeya utter a word before he went back into his office, shutting the door hard behind him.
Kaeya stood there confused for a moment but then let a small smile curve on his lips.
I can resolve everything then.
He thought to himself before putting his mask back on.—————————
