Chapter 14 : A Murderer's Victim.

"I'm sorry, I'm in a rush." Kaeya didn't even bother looking down at who he bumped into, he instead began speed walking to the station.

Xiao stood there in shock for a moment until he turned around and tried to keep up with Kaeya, staying far enough away that he wouldn't notice.

My heart is beating so fast...
Xiao grabbed at his heart, smiling, his eyes still wide.

I can already feel the praise Albedo's gonna give me after killing him...
Xiao bit his lip, moving his hand to his knife, but not making it so obvious that civilians would question.

You're dead Kaeya Alberich.
Xiao looked over to a close alleyway around the corner that Kaeya was about to walk right past.

He looked back at Kaeya and started running to catch up with him more.

Xiao grabbed Kaeya's wrist and pulled him into the dark alleyway, slamming him against the brick wall.

Kaeya moaned out in pain, not being able to process what exactly was happening.

Xiao took out his knife, putting it to Kaeya's throat.

Kaeya breathed shakily, staring down at Xiao with his eyes wide... "You...you're the guy I saw.." Kaeya tried to stay calm, but his voice exposed him by how shaky it came out.

"If you shut up I'll make it quick." Xiao pressed the knife into Kaeya's neck more, but not enough to cut skin.

Kaeya looked over to Xiao's gun holster then back at him.

"Could I just ask you something before you kill me?" His voice got steadier.

"Make it fast. I can't wait any longer." Xiao narrowed his eyes at him.

"What's your relationship with Albedo?" Kaeya smirked, though he was still scared enough to have some sweat drip off of him.

Xiao smirked, "So it is true. You did have a relationship with Mr. Kreideprinz." Xiao's knife went into Kaeya's neck harder, crimson blood beginning to drip down.

Kaeya winced, but he still had one last question.

"Why does everyone keep calling him that?!" Kaeya yelled, he didn't know why he felt so angry...maybe it was because his mind was going to the worst possible place to why people were addressing him so formally.

Xiao chuckled, "Since I'm gonna kill you, it won't hurt to tell you." Xiao tilted his head with a smile and lustful eyes.

"He's the Fatui's leader." Kaeya flinched at those words.

"No..he wouldn't do something like that
he—" Kaeya suddenly remembered what Albedo said last night...

"I'm glad. I don't think the real Kaeya would say that though."

So that's why he said that.

Kaeya clenched his teeth together. He kicked as hard as he could into Xiao's legged and grabbed Xiao's gun from its holster.

Xiao yelped and stumbled backwards, looking up to see a gun straight to his head.
He just smirked.

"I hope you didn't forget that I am in fact an officer, I've been prepared for situations like this." Kaeya smirk hid any other emotion he had in that moment.
