Almost the end of work!
Kaeya smiled to himself.
"Kaeya, Aether, and Amber, come here." Said the person at the front desk.
Kaeya groaned and went over with his other two coworkers.
"I know it's almost the end of work for you guys but...we've got a noise complaint and no one else near the area is responding so I'm gonna have to make you three check it out." The front desk coworker said with a sigh, understanding how annoying it was.
"It's alright! We'll go right over. Isn't that right guys?" Amber smiled over to Aether and Kaeya.
Kaeya had the most annoyed expression on his face and Aether just looked exhausted.
Amber laughed awkwardly.
"Is this the place?" Kaeya asked, staring at a building that would look abandoned if there weren't dozens of people, loud music, and flashing lights everywhere.
"Yup. Let's shut it down and get it done with." Aether said, tired eyes looking towards Kaeya. Amber and Kaeya nodded in agreement.
They went up to the door and knocked loudly.
Someone opened the door, cup in hand. They dropped the cup while their eyes widened when they saw the cop car in the distance.
"We got a noise compla—" before Kaeya could even finish explaining the person shouted, "THE COPS ARE HERE!" At the top of their lungs.
Everyone suddenly started screaming and running out the back door, the music stopped but the lights continued to shine brightly.
Amber and Aether ran after everyone but Kaeya stayed.
That's odd..I'd assume at least a few wouldn't be sober enough to run away.
Kaeya went in the building and looked around.
He stopped scanning the room when he saw someone sleeping against a wall with a bunch of cups surrounding them.
Kaeya sighed, he went a little closer but he suddenly stopped when he was only a few inches away.
Kaeya's knees went weak, he felt his mouth open in shock.
He looked around quickly to see if Aether or Amber were back, which they weren't.
He looked back at the person. Could it really be?
"Albedo?.." Kaeya wanted to whisper, but it ended up coming out pretty loud due to his shock.
Albedo eyes began to flutter open, he looked at Kaeya and drunkly smiled.
"Kaeya..what are you doing here?" Albedo stood up but almost ended up falling right back down before Kaeya caught him.
When Kaeya felt Albedo's skin against his, it was like electric. A shock right to his heart. He hasn't felt his warmth in so long...he didn't know he needed it this bad.
He wanted to touch him, hug him, kiss him...but he refrained from doing any of that.
"Am I in trouble? Oh no, are you gonna arrest me?" Albedo snickered, Kaeya was still holding onto his arm so he wouldn't fall.
