Vera quickly hid behind the wall.
Shit, shit, shit!

I hope they didn't see me...I mean if they did I probably would already be dead by now.
Vera took a peek into the room, there were two men talking to each other in a quiet manner.

"I can't give you any money right now, I'm sorry." Pantalone told the man.

"I have a family, we can't go without eating! The Fatui has loads of money, why can't you just give me at least a thousand?" The unidentifiable Fatui member sounded stressed.

Pantalone shook his head, "Like I've said, I can't."

The unidentifiable Fatui member grabbed Pantalones hands and held them together, "Please. I'll pay you back when I can!"

Pantalone slid his hands out of the man's grasp, "If you're so eager for some money, trade with someone inside the Fatui. I'm sure many people would be interested in all the weaponry you have."

The unidentifiable Fatui member looked down at the ground. He knew he couldn't get Pantalone to give him even a crumb.

He left abruptly, thankfully not noticing Vera.

One of them left, but I can't get in there with that other guy...
Vera took her phone out of her pocket quietly to text Nikolai.

"I haven't drawn in awhile, so these are a few months old." Albedo flipped through his sketchbook with Nikolai hovering over him.

"Do you remember when you used to draw those two birds that would sit on the electric wire every day?" Nikolai asked, smiling softly.

"Oh, yeah. The one on the right would always leave first." Albedo suddenly felt a wave of sorrow wash over him.

"They stopped coming after awhile. That was a shame." Nikolai liked the feeling of nostalgia he got from remembering these little things.

"I found a dead bird on the day they stopped visiting the wire, I didn't tell you this when I found it because I knew you'd cry. You used to be so emotional. Besides, it might not have even been the bird we saw." Albedo felt the tension in the room suddenly shift, it must've been because of what he just said. "Sorry." He mumbled.

"What do you think the other bird did when he found out his friend was dead?" Nikolai asked, but he sounded hollow, and weak.

"He probably mourned the loss of his friend. That's what almost any being would do." Albedo stopped on a page in his sketchbook.

Nikolai didn't recognize who the sketch was, no one he's ever met or seen in the Fatui...maybe someone Albedo just made up? He didn't think Albedo would know anyone out of the Fatui or the Fatui's ally's.
Well, there was Kaeya...but Nikolai didn't know who or what he looked like.

Right before he was going to ask, his phone dinged.

He quickly looked at it, his stomach dropped when he saw it was from Vera.

"Sorry," Nikolai said as he chuckled softly, Albedo shook his head and muttered a 'it's fine.'

[Vera] There's someone in the room. Is there anyway you can get them out?!

[Nikolai] I hate you so much right now.

[Nikolai] I'll figure something out, for now stay hidden.

[Vera] Alright..

This idiot...
Nikolai sighed.

"Something wrong?" Albedo asked, tilting his head to the side.

"No, no. Hey, who did you say works in that banking office?" Nikolai leaned his hand up against the desk, using it to prop himself up.

"Oh Pantalone?" Albedo's eyes furrowed in confusion, "Yeah!" Nikolai snapped his fingers together.

"Can I meet him?"
