8:55 PM.
"I'm gonna head out." Kaeya said as he stood up abruptly.
"We have five more minutes." Said one of his coworkers, "Only five? Then I'm heading out as well." Said another as they, and a few others, began to get up.
Kaeya smiled slightly as he left, though he went the opposite way of his motel.
To be honest, going there could just make it worse. But it's worth a shot.
He thought to himself.
"I'm leaving Zhongli. I won't be back for a while." Albedo called out as he left his office, not leaving time for Zhongli to add any unneccersay comments.
Albedo sighed as he walked down the hall, on his way to the door.
Xiao peeked out of his office to see Albedo. He looked around, Zhongli wasn't with him...strange.
If Zhongli isn't going with him...then I must make sure that boss is safe. Where is he even going at this time?
Xiao quietly followed behind Albedo.
Albedo would've noticed if he wasn't so caught up in his own thoughts.
The only noise was the grass crunching underneath Kaeya's shoes.
He stopped in front of a familiar bench.
I can't believe it's been three years since we parted ways, never to see each other again.
Kaeya was wearing a calm smile, the bittersweet feeling flooding over him.
Of course, that night I had with him didn't count.
Kaeya reached out a hand and grazed his fingertips along the bench.
Albedo could see a familiar bench only inches away, but...there was someone there?
Their long, blue hair was blocking their face, so Albedo assumed it was some stranger.
Though as he got a bit closer, it was as if his something was tugging at his heart to pull him away from this certain individual.
He stepped on a twig, which is when he eventually stopped walking towards them.
The long blue haired person jerked their head up and turned it to face Albedo—their blue eye(s) immediately widening in shock, or maybe fear.
Albedo was stunned. He felt like a deer in headlights, he couldn't believe it. This couldn't be real, it didn't feel real..
Albedo felt his heart begin to race, but that was the only part of his body that would actually move in that moment.
Albedo tried to open his mouth to say something but nothing would come out. His brain was screaming bloody murder and he suddenly felt sick. No. Not sick. He felt scared.
"Albedo," Kaeya's voice sounded weak, like he was injured, though he was in seemingly perfect health. Albedo shuddered at his own name.
Kaeya began to walk towards him slowly, but maybe that was just Albedo's mind playing tricks on him.
He realized it wasn't when Kaeya softly grabbed his hand and put it in his own as if he was trying to see if it was actually Albedo or a figment of his imagination.
