"At least your good for something." Morgan said bitterly as she stabbed at her food, eyes flickering to the couple still stuck together. As usual the meal Tarek did was prepared to perfection but it didn't taste the same not when sorrow and bitterness lingered on her tongue. She would eat it though because she needed the strength, she needed one last thing from the man she loved. She watched them as she ate all their food, feeling something darker filling her insides instead of the pata and potatoes. She only broke eye contact to take a swig of the champagne.

Years of their lives spent together and for what? To end up nailed to some random woman dead with dick in hand? Her victims' blood was curdling now and she couldn't afford to wait any longer to get rid of their bodies, she sure as hell wasn't going to jail for this bastard.

She finished the meal then washed the dishes along with the pots and pans. She scrubbed the stove and then disinfected the island where she ate, aligning the stools properly. Tarek would've been proud if her, he prided himself in a clean space to cook and she couldn't agree more. "My phone" she remembered and started looking around the kitchen for the blasted thing but found it outside where she had dropped the rest of her luggage.

She picked it up and dialed the only person who would be able to make all off this go away "Yes Ma'am?" Jefferson answered after two rings "I need your help Jeff, something terrible has happened and you're the only one to make this go away." her voice breaking in the end.

Guilt was setting in. How could she be so careless? Was she that upset that she had to murder two people? She had never done something so crass before, she couldn't even harm a fly. Everything deserved a fighting chance at life. "I'll be there in five minutes Ma'am" he replied before he hung up. Morgan turned and went back inside the kitchen where she sat and waited for Jefferson.

The couple still present, naked bodies pressed together in their sinful embrace, just mocking her about what a fool she was being in love with someone who didn't appreciate her, who apparently didn't love her back. Then why waste her time? Why act like she was the only one for him? Who was she kidding anyway, he wasn't hers to begin with. They both knew that but were willing to go against the odds, maybe it would've worked out in their favour.

Where they were from, your mate was chosen by an attachment of the soul. Even if they were the ugliest creature your eyes ever beheld, there was always that one thing that pulled you in, that made you want scream and shout all day everyday that you had found your one true love. Morgan had seen this happen with her own eyes before she came to Earth, she had always hoped that she would find the love of her life but circumstances made her choose a life on Earth rather than staying put. Alas, Tarek wasn't hers to love. A troubling thought came to her, what if the Boxom chick was Tarek's mate? Did she murder two people who finally found each other? How long had the affair been going on?

She was spiralling down into an abyss and felt like she couldn't stop herself. She was saved by the footsteps she heard coming from the front of her house which only meant Jefferson was here. "I'm in the kitchen!" she yelled and heard his footsteps heading in her direction.

Jefferson entered the kitchen still dressed to perfection in his grey suit from before and immediately his eyes went to the victims at the counter then back to her. "Are you alright Madam?" he asked to which Morgan flew across the room in a flash to hug Jefferson, seeking solace. She hugged him tighter crying into his chest even though his body was as stiff as a scarecrow's at her surprising reaction, it still gave her comfort. His arms went around her to give reassurance that all would be well.

"It was an accident. I came home to surprise him and saw them together- the knife was in my hand... I, I- my aim must have been way off Jeff. I just wanted to- I shouldn't have picked up the knife." Morgan rambled on.

Even though she knew Jeff would never judge her, she still wanted to prove her innocence to him as she didn't have the heart to murder someone. She felt Jeff pull away to look at her. "Don't worry Morgan, I'll handle it." he promised. It's been a while since she heard her name come from Jefferson's mouth, he was always professional, nothing less and she could only nod her head in response because she knew it would be done.

"I suggest that you take the car and drive to your grandmother's beach house. She's already staying there for the summer." he advised.

"What? Is there nothing I can do to help?" she asked.

"No my lady, you were never here tonight. Stay there for as long as you wish, the authorities may contact you about the girl because of her affiliation with Tarek but they will never find her body, nor his. You have my word."

Morgan nodded again because this situation was now behind her, she could relax a little now that the humans wouldn't have her as a suspect. "Thank you Jefferson, I'll let you know when I've arrived." she said gratefully then accepted the car lock remote from him and reluctantly started backing away from him to exit the kitchen. Once outside, she grabbed her bags and briskly walked to the car where she unlocked the trunk to put her stuff in.

She got in and drove off into the night towards the west coast. She thought about the girl's family, if she had any, and how they would eventually start searching for her which would yeild no results. Let's just say Jefferson had more pull than he let on. Tarek's family was back in a different dimension and didn't really care if he lived or died because he chose to reject his nature and family for a life on Earth and Morgan was the added bonus for more hate.

No, she wouldn't think about them. They were gone now, even though she would miss Tarek, she had to move on. Now would just relax at her grandmother's place until she was ready to head out again. Her publisist would throw a fit over her long vacation but she didn't care, she was the boss.
