Morgan opened the door to let her sister in her home. Lourdes instantly took Mercer from her arms and cradled him to her chest.

"I've missed you so much!" she cooed at the baby and it was clear that Mercer had missed her too based on the squeals he released. His bright eyes shone as he drooled all over his big sister.

"Ok Des, I'm off to The Federation. I just fed the baby so you can put him down for a nap soon."

"Sure. Hey, are you okay?" Lourdes held Morgan by the elbow so she could look at her.

"Yeah. Why do you ask?"

"I don't know. You're aura is not the same and I've noticed a slight limp."

"Stop worrying Des, I'm fine. It's just that training has gotten harder."

Morgan tried her best to reassure her sister but the look on Lourdes face made her know she wasn't buying it.

"Trust me Lourdes, if I wasn't fine you'd definitely know." Morgan laughed off the sudden concern for her.

She thought she was doing well, with the exception of the persistent headache and ear ringing but she would deal with it at a later time. Morgan hugged her family then left her apartment. Even if she wasn't fine, she just had to be because there were people depending on her.

Diana sent a right hook to Morgan's face sending the royal crashing to the ground and blood spewing from her lip.

"Get your fucking head in the game Morgan!"

"I'm sorry." Morgan grumbled but her teacher could hear.

"You're sorry? Your enemy won't hesitate to sink a fang or blade into your gut, what will you do then? On your feet now!"

Morgan sprung up as quickly as she could and armed herself with her katana. Diana was on her in an instant with her two swords swinging from all angles. She was fast as lightning, Morgan had to work twice as hard to block all her strikes so the sharp blades would slice her up into sushi.

"Attack Morgan! Stop running away!" her teacher barked.

On cue, Morgan did a series of backflips to give herself some space to readjust. Gripping the long handle of the katana tightly, the trainee went into an jōdan-no-kamae stance which was the most aggressive fighting style in kendo. She charged at Diana with such force that her teacher stumbled back, now it was her turn to feel the force of Morgan's strength. The princess aimed for every available opening to skewer Diana but she was too good at covering all her bases. Nevertheless, she swung her katana viciously until her arms felt sore and even then, she didn't stop. She wouldn't stop.

"Yes! There she is!" Diana expressed her approval in a high pitch.

That applaud propelled Morgan to go harder, faster into a speed she had never tapped into before. She had lost herself in the battle, no longer thinking about what move she should do next, just letting her body become one with her weapon until she unleashed hell. She was so focused and in tune to the task at hand that something cracked inside her. There was only one word echoing in the back of her mind. Kill! Kill! Kill!

Morgan no longer knew if she was in the real world or not, she felt light, she felt free, like she was no longer in control and for the first time she was happy that she no longer had the reins. The headache was had left and the ringing in her ear ceased. What was happening to her? Was this what it felt like to go beyond? To transcend everyone and everything? She was getting a fantastic high that she didn't want to ever end. Nothing in the world had ever made her feel this fucking good.
