There was no streak of light coming in to wake her from her state of bliss, there was only darkness and she was at peace. Morgan slowly took off her sleeping mask so her eyes could adjust to the room where it wasn't as dark. She yawned while she stretched her limbs then got up from her bed and walked to her drapes pulling them apart so the sun could shine in her room.

The ocean looked so blue and beautiful, just rolling over in constant waves grasping at the shoreline, inching closer to her each time. Slowly opening the door, a rush of cool sea breeze hit her in the face and she looked behind her at the clock on her bedside table to see that it was a little after ten. She could go for a swim and relax on the beach for a while but she didn't feel like dealing with sand in her buttcrack at this time.

She stepped unto the wooden platform, the sand tempting her to run her toes through it because it was warm just like she liked it. A small smile graced her lips as she looked out at the horizon, she swore she could feel Tareek's arms around her waist pulling her body against his, swaying them gently to a Boys to Men song playing lowly in the background as the gentle wind drifted on their skin, cooling them down from their early morning love-making. Kissing her shoulders, neck and cheek in nothing but the bed sheets to cover their bare bodies, he would whisper in her ear how he loved her so much and that she was the most beautiful girl in the world.

Morgan already knew that her beauty was unmatched and hearing how he praised her just cemented her high self-esteem. In her eyes, they did have a perfect relationship. They had grown to know each others bodies and even though she wasn't thoroughly satisfied everytime they had sex, she loved that he still tried really hard to please her even if it meant faking her climax sometimes just so he would stop because it would be pointless. She cared less about that though because she was in love. Yeah right.

Morgan's mood had no longer been been one of bliss but had soured at the thought of the events last night. She was hungry and needed to speak with her grandmother. She turned and headed to the bathroom to brush her teeth and do her morning skin care routine. Afterward, she walked out back in the hallway that lead to the living room where it was as clean as a baby's leg, not a confetti or dollar in sight with the exception of one of Granny's old friends Mrs. Abberton who was snuggled up on the couch with one of the male strippers from last night. His big and obviously tanned body wrapping around hers as his head cradled in her bosom and they both slept comfortably.

Descending the two steps  from the hallway into the living room area, Morgan passed by and headed toward the kitchen where her grandmother was humming as she began preparing breakfast. Memories of her grandmother doing the same thing when she Morgan was nine years old surfaced in her mind but back then, her grandmother would take her by the hand and dance with her twirling her around like the little ballerina she was as she continued to hum whatever song that was playing in her head.

It was hard to believe that either of them were demons, they were more human than most humans were and she didn't care that she was ostrasized by the supernatural world for it. She'd hold up two middle fingers in everyone's face while telling them to go fuck themselves as both their world and Earth didn't need more evil in it, they were already bad as is.

Still, her grandma was a force to be reckoned with and could easily slay a thousand men if she so pleased but she chose to lead a more peaceful life which had inspired Morgan a lot to walk the same path as her.

"Are you going to stand there all day looking at me or are you going to help an old woman?" Hillary interrupted Morgan's daydreaming which caused her to chuckle, moving from the entrance of the kitchen to the island to take over cutting the fruits as Hillary started on the batter for the waffles.

"Stop Nana, you don't look a day over twenty." she replied.

"Ha, I sure don't feel like twenty anymore."

"Are you sure about that? That's not what I saw last night, you looked like you were having a blast. By the way, what was the party for?"

"Oh, Mrs. Abberton divorced her husband and got half of everything, the lucky bitch. After years of putting up with that cheating bastard she deserves it." her grandmother explained. Her mind drifted to the scene from last night of Tarek cheating on her and wondered if she would have stayed with him and tried to work it out if he was alive. Why would she though? She didn't do anything wrong!

"Alright, out with it missy, what's bothering you? I can feel your energy and I know something happened."

" You could always read me like a book." Morgan admitted then went on to relay the events of last night to her grandmother who continued to cook but Morgan knew that she was listening intently. Hillary paused what she was doing to look at her granddaughter after hearing that she killed her boyfriend and Morgan looked at her. After Morgan was finished, there was only silence as her grandmother was deep in thought.

"Well, I'm really disappointed that you chose a more violent option rather than just giving Tarek an earful. I'm disappointed that he betrayed you in a way that drove you to that extreme anger but what's done is done, we can't do anything about it now. Let this be a lesson to you Morgan, we were born with a hateful nature. Doing wrong things is what we do best, it's what we crave but I have worked so hard to move from that path and I have always taught you the same. Our people will one day look to you as their Queen and what kind of leader will you be? One that thrives on chaos like your mother? Or one with integrity and morals that will lead our kind to a more lasting future?" Hillary said breaking the silence.

"Nana, I'm sorry that I let you down. I feel so horrible about what I did and I swear with everything in me that it was as if someone else, something else took over my body." Morgan confessed. Her grandmother nodded her head as if she was in agreement with her.

"You believe me Nana?"

"Yes child, I do. Look, there's something that you need to know... about your father." her granny stated making Morgan's curiosity surge.

"Ok, what is it?"

Hillary sighed before answering, "There's a reason why it's a little harder for me to stay on the straight and narrow than you. You've always been a good girl Morgan, people are drawn to what's inside you and that also shines on the outside as you spread happiness to everyone around you." Morgan said nothing, she only listened as she knew these were known facts about her.

"You're father is an angel."

"What?" Morgan breathed in astonishment.
