"No, no! Don't hurt me please, I'm begging you! Ahhhhh! Stop-"

"Morgan honey, wake up!"

The princess woke up from her nightmare with a cry. Her hands flew to grab the T-shirt Lourdes wore but the blond had anticipated any sudden movements Morgan would make out of fear. The fear in Morgan's wide eyes was enough to make her blood run cold. It took several minutes before Morgan stopped trembling and her breathing went back to normal. The silence between the women grew and Morgan knew Lourdes would begin hauling information out of her shortly when she took a seat on the edge of her bed. The royal was grateful her sister stayed with her but she didn't want to divulge details that could put her life in danger. Roman was unpredictable and so was Lourdes. The love for her best friend and baby brother would make her do crazy things, like attempting to kill a powerful unknown being.

"Wanna tell me what that was all about?" she finally broke the silence.

"I'm fine. I apologize for waking you, did I wake the baby too?"

"No, Mercer is still sleeping but Morgan, you almost died! You have nothing to apologize for, in fact I kind of expected this."

Morgan's brows drew together at her words.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Right, you didn't get to see the aftermath of your apartment. It looked like a murder house downstairs. I had to call in a crew to get the blood stains out of the floor and carpet! What I'm trying to say is, whoever or whatever attacked you would have me screaming in my sleep too."

In fact, Morgan didn't want to look at what happened when she went to retrieve her phone earlier. She tried her best to avert her eyes from the mess because the attack would play over and over again in her head. Morgan sat up properly and hugged her knees to her chest for some comfort. Her dream was terrifying. Images replayed in her memory of Roman morphing into that monster again, ruining his beautiful face. However, in her dream the attack seemed to last longer. He was waiting for her in apartment again but this time he didn't make small talk, he just pounced on her like a lion on a gazelle and began his torture. He had made well on his promise from before and used his claws to rip her guts out while he feasted on her blood and flesh, until she was no more. It was like Morgan could feel everything he was doing to her, every bite he took and every slash he made on her beautiful brown skin. She could hear his razor teeth mashing against bone as he tore the flesh from her corpse. The worst part of all was that he sported the largest boner she ever felt through his pants as he killed her. But, it was only a dream.

"Why won't you tell me what happened? I can help."

"I know and that's why I can't tell you. I don't want you to do something foolish on my behalf."

"Just answer this one question, was it your mother? Did she do this to you?"

"No, my mother doesn't possess the power he does."

"He?"

"Damn it!"

"Who is it Morgan? Just tell me. I will make an oath to you right here, right now not to do anything that will put your life in more danger."

"It's not me I'm worried about."

"Please, just- don't shut me out again . We love each other too much to let some bastard come between us."

The desperation in her sister's voice pulled at Morgan's heart. She had to at least tell someone what was going on, the secrets she kept were a little heavy. Morgan thought about what she wanted to reveal to Lourdes then sighed before she began speaking.

"I-I... remember the incident with the stranger on my first day at the Federation?" Morgan asked to which Lourdes just nodded her head. Of course she wouldn't forget something like that.
