Her lips were still swollen and they tingled as she exited her private elevator. She couldn't help the goofy smile that held her lips hostage when the soft pads of her fingers brushed them. She could still taste him on her tongue, he lived there now. "I'll see you soon " he said, Roman did miss her like she did him.
Morgan liked that he couldn't stay away from her even though he tried. It was good to know that he suffered like she did, it was hard to stay away from him and even harder to see him with another woman but now he had come to his senses. He must now know that Morgan was the one for him. She only hoped that it would be smooth sailing from now on because she hated arguing with the man. She only wanted to make him happy, she feared that she might do anything to make him happy and not regret
The pheromones he discharged would always be a dead giveaway when it came to him, she would always be able to tell where he'd been and if he was close by. Today however, he wore an extra fragrance that permeated his skin. A sort of teakwood scent that took away the sweet girlish smell and made his masculinity more profound. She loved that scent, especially when his thick body was molded to hers in the locker room, it had her leaking more than a broken faucet. She wanted to lick his smooth skin, probably live beneath it if she could. This could be it, the start of the new chapter she's always wanted.
After walking at a snail's pace thinking of what Roman did to her, Morgan finally reached her apartment door and punched in the code to open it. Her sister sat on the couch with little Mercer placed comfortably on her shoulder. Morgan assumed that Lourdess had just fed him since there was curdled milk slipping out of his tiny mouth mixed with his drool which soaked Lourdes T-shirt. His little bright eyes looked up at his big sister making her smile.
Morgan placed a kiss on both their heads and was heading upstairs to change when she heard a frustrated sigh from her sister. Lourdes' unoccupied hand was holding her cellphone as she texted away with an annoyed expression on her face which Morgan didn't notice at first. Too caught up in her own world she guessed.
"What's wrong baby?" Morgan asked.
"It's nothing." she replied in an aggravated tone.
"Lourdes, don't let force it out of you. Now spill." Morgan ordered.
Her sister sighed before she replied,
"Quinn's getting on my last nerve about this whole babysitting thing. Even though I go home to him every night, he still feels like I should be by his side all day long."
"Well, have you explained the whole situation to him and why you're helping?"
"I did but he doesn't seem to care. Maybe it's not such a good idea to rush into having children if he's going to be this possessive. I mean we'll have forever together but..."
Morgan didn't want to say what she really thought about Quinn, she didn't even really like the guy when they first met but she was cordial with him for the sake of her sister. The Royal had no idea why Quinn was being such a brat when he knew what was happening, however, Morgan didn't want to be the wedge that drove the couple apart. She didn't want Lourdes to ever feel the pain of rejection like she felt when Roman declared he didn't want her. No, Lourdes was too good for that, she deserved the world and she didn't want that for Quinn either.
Why did she have good morals? She could've been selfish and demanded Lourdes stay and help out but she couldn't, she would never dare do such a thing. Carefully taking the babe from Lourdes' arm, Morgan kissed his chubby cheek repeatedly until he began letting out fits of laughter. She paused the playing to look at her sister who was still furiously texting away.
"Go home Des, I've got it from here."
"But-"
"No, it's fine. I've shouldn't have asked you to babysit in the first place. Quinn obviously needs you at home and at work."
