'Even if you fail tomorrow, come back to me'. The uncertainty and hint of desperation in Roman's voice moved her. Even when she thought he was incapable of making her empathetic towards him, he always pulled another trick out of his ass. What was he worried about? Wasn't he confident in her skills? Wasn't he confident that he trained her well? 'I will' was her response before she kissed her blood from his lips. Even as her foot nervously jumped with two swords strapped to her body and the whirring of the helicopter blades eroded her eardrums, she still couldn't stop thinking about his words. She'd always go back to him, even to the detriment of of her own sanity and life. He owned her.
Franny and Fuckface sat across from her in the aircraft with smug looks on their faces as if they knew something she didn't. They'd been a constant pain in her ass since the beginning and their fuckery skyrocketed before dawn earlier when they literally threw her out of bed. If her lover hadn't valued them so much, she'd probably do to them like she'd done to his whores. The urge to rip their heads off was overpowering her but Morgan had been practicing the art of self control after the harem incident. She wouldn't let them get to her, they were just trying to mess with her concentration. Roman however, hadn't seen her off or wished luck this morning. In fact, she hadn't seen him skulking around the palace since he was balls deep in her last night. Morgan hated that she still had expectations of a man like him.
The newly turned assassin kept her eyes trained on the horizon where the city lay. She had to be quick, quiet and deadly. Any associate of her mother was just as guilty as her so Morgan would have no issue with killing the target. As the trio got closer to the city, Fontaine gave Morgan an ear piece which she immediately inserted in her ear.
"Can you hear me?" he asked, fidgeting with his and Morgan nodded in response to his irritating voice.
"Alright, Freya and I will talk to you through the speaker. The second we hit the city, the thirty minute countdown begins. We'll be watching from the building across the street so if you try any funny business, the master will hear about it. The rendezvous point is in the parking garage of the building. A black sedan will be waiting to get you out of there. By the way, did we mention that your queen had put a bounty out on your head? "
Morgan's surprise at the rhetorical question drew laughter from them. A bounty? Mignon must have been pissed that she had escaped her prison and sought revenge. A feverish sweat washed her forehead at the thought of being captured again and tortured at the hands of her mother. She had to the job correctly and go home.
"Looks like we forgot to give you a mask... oops. Just try not to get caught by mommy dearest." Freya mocked.
Morgan's blood pressure was through the roof and she felt nauseous. Get a fucking grip, Morgan! She had to do this properly and soon since helicopter had finally reached the city. It wasn't uncommon for a helicopter to fly over the city so they wouldn't attract unwanted attention. The siblings unfastened their seatbelts after flying over the city's capital, they were approaching the drop site. The speed of the flying vehicle didn't change and the two bird brains went flying head first out of the chopper. Morgan didn't check to see if they made the landing, she didn't care. All she cared about was that she made hers.
Her time was up and with the agility of a monkey, Morgan back flipped out of the helicopter and landed perfectly on her feet on the target's building while the craft flew away. The architectural design of the building was older so it was easy for her to get the door leading to the building's stairwell descending from the ninety eighth floor. The static sounded in her ear and Fontaine's voice chimed in,
"We're in position. The target has now entered the office space on the fifty seventh floor."
Taking the steps two at a time, Morgan paused and listened momentarily to see if she was being followed or if there was anyone approaching from the other direction. She didn't want to be identified and Mignon alerted of her whereabouts. Tonight she'd be back in the arms of the man she loved and that's where she always wanted to be.
