Morgan had expected Vigor's fire breath to cleanse the demon scums, what she didn't expect was for the fire to be as blue as his eyes. It seemed that there was more to her dragon than she thought. Nevertheless, the blue fire blast was inescapable, it torched the demons that stood frozen in fear and lashed out at the ones who fled. Morgan held on to Vigor's rough skin tightly when he took a sudden plunge. Tucking his large wings in to his sides Vigor swooped down between the city's largest shopping mall and another building to scoop up some retreating citizens in his mouth. Vigor was hungry like she was. He used the ground as a stepping stone to launch himself back into the air and reopened his wings, his triumphant screeching roar sounding like music to Morgan's ears. The cries of her people pulled another wicked laughter from Morgan. She held nothing back as she lost herself in the malfeasance.

Vigor continued his rampage of bashing and burning everything in his path while Morgan looked on in approval. Her magnificent beast purred after returning to the skies again to feast on the charred remains of his victims that lay scattered in the streets. Suddenly, the first five meter titanium broad head arrow whizzed through the air, narrowly missing Morgan's head. She chuckled to herself instead of being livid because it only meant that her mother was finally aware of the butchering of her subjects. Morgan had been waiting for this moment.

The princess expertly piloted Vigor through the onslaught of arrows flying at them. Her eyes darted in every direction searching for the weapons she knew were cleverly hidden somewhere. Mignon was a cunning shrew, but Morgan had caught on to her little tricks throughout the years spent with her to avoid certain problem. It didn't take long for her to locate the large but properly disguised self repeating arrow launchers disguised in generator casings on the four tallest buildings in the city. Mignon of course had the sense to retrofit the bows with sensors that would track Vigor's movements in any direction and fire the arrows nonstop.

Morgan did her best to elude the dragon killing arrows, there had to be a way to take destroy those machines. Vigor flew lower and over the hot flames of the burning city. The duo crept up to the closest towers housing one of the launchers, the very thing that sought to end their lives. The dragon's speed increased significantly when he took a sudden vertical direction, parallel to the skyscraper, Vigor's large wings were flapping harder than Morgan had ever felt but they both reached the top of the building. With a burst of blue fire, Vigor destroyed the one of the arrow launchers. For a split second, both Morgan and Vigor shared a sigh of relief, something she'd regret for the rest of her life. A titanium arrow was in her blind spot, she didn't see it coming while they floated mid-air.

Her triumphant smile vanished immediately when Vigor's painful roar struck at her core, Morgan looked at the spiteful metal protruding from the right side of his neck. Their descent from the midnight sky was hard and really fast. The albino creature crashed into nearby buildings on his way down prompting Morgan to tuck her body and roll in the ash and debris on the ground to avoid being crushed under Vigor's weight. However, Morgan was on her feet and at her dragon's side in an instant to grab hold of the arrow he, by sheer luck, didn't fall on.

Vigor's groan shook the very ground Morgan stood on as he laid on his side, his right blue eye trained on his partner. Morgan held the arrow firmly before pulling out the metal quickly and casting it aside much to Vigor's chagrin. There was a nasty open wound between the broken white scales that oozed blood, prompting an idea to come to her almost immediately. Morgan put her palms together rubbing them against each other and pulled them apart just as quickly before placing both heated hands on Vigor's neck. The burning smell of his visible pink flesh made Morgan's stomach growl in hunger for food but she kept her palms against the dragon while he wriggled in pain. She held him down until the large gash on his neck was closed.
