I stood over my desk clutching my corespondents with the butcher. It was clear my brother was doing is own way of ruling and to my shock so far it seemed to be working. I had to get rid of all evidence...including the butcher. Crossing the room to my fire I released the letters and watch them slowly burn. The paper shrunk with flames. I smiled at it realizing at least one of my tasks was complete.

"Having a little bon fire ?" Mothers voice made me jump. I turned around to her green eyes glaring at me. She sat on my bed with her arms crossed. How long had she been standing there ?

"Hello mother." I said between my teeth. Her and I had never gotten along. I was never good enough. I never did anything right in her eyes.

"I see you finally did as you were told." She motioned towards my. Stomach.

"I've always done what was expected of me." I said clutching my very pregnant belly.

"And yet you still seem to make a mess of things." Mother sighed.

"Did you come just to insult me or have you other things to discuss ?" I replied.

"I want you to leave your brother alone." Her words were like ice and seemed to prick my skin. "I'm not particularly found of Thea. But I couldn't find a better match for Silas and they seem happy enough." I rolled my eyes. If only she knew what her son really had been up too these past few months. "You meddle too much. Silas has turned out to actually make a fine king. I like what he's doing with the kingdom, I don't want YOU to mess it up."

"Me meddling too much ?!" I laughed. "That's rich coming from you."

She narrowed her eyes at me. "A true queen knows what goes on in her castle."

"That's the thing..mother." I crossed my arms. "You are not queen here anymore."

Her eyes flared with anger. "I will only say it once Fiona. STAY AWAY FROM YOUR BROTHER."

"Actually mother that's twice." I corrected her with a smirk.

She crossed the room so quickly I did not have time to respond. She grabbed my neck and slammed me into the bedroom wall so hard the picture behind me rattled and fell to the floor. "Then we better not see what happens if I say it a third time." She dropped me releasing her grasp and exited the room. I dropped to my knees holding my belly and coughing. Glancing after her I watched as several guards came rushing in after the commotion. "Clean this up!" Mother shouted. I stood and let them pick up the picture.

I didn't realize how bad I was shaking until one of the guards spoke. "Queen Fiona...are you alright ? Should I get the doctor ?"

"No." I said steadying myself. People wonder why I am so cruel, including Silas. They have no idea what it was like growing up with parents like this. I was done being their victim.

Exiting my chamber I hunted for Silas. Finding him in his Royal business chamber at his desk I approached him slowly.

"I do not have time for you today Fiona." Silas said without looking up from his maps. I stayed silent. I felt as if I was unstoppable until I was around my mother. It took me back to memories of her and father when I was a child. They both so determined to make our kingdom successful. They both did unspeakable things to make us the royals they wanted. I could feel my body trembling. "Fiona ?" Silas said finally looking at me. His eyes grew in concern. Standing he came over and took me in his arms. "Sister what is it ? Are you okay?" I stayed silent unsure of why I couldn't speak. He continued to hold me trembling. After a few moments he cupped his hand under my chin and gently lifted it for our eyes to meet. "Fiona ? What has you so shaken ?"
