The ropes around my wrists and ankles were so tight I was starting to lose feeling in my hands and feet. My throat was dry and my body cried out for water. It was winter and all they gave me to keep warm was a shredded coat so thin the wind easily reached my skin. I fear I did not have much time left in life. I had to do what I needed to get away from my captures.

Unfortunately I was cursed from birth and these people not only believed in my abilities they sought after me. My own mother, ashamed of what I was willingly traded me to these people. They called me the monster and yet they were the ones who acted like monsters.

"Jasmine." A whisper came from behind my cage. "Jasmine wake up." It was Jaxon. The leader of these barbaric people. "We are here. Your time has come."

"Then unchain me." I commanded desperate to get out of these ropes.

"I don't think I need to remind you that we have your sister. We will harm her if you run." Jaxon replied.

"You're right I don't need the reminder the ache in my heart every day of her absence is enough." I spat at him.

He raised a hand a struck my cheek. "Watch your mouth."

"What do you seek from me now." I said spitting out blood from his blow.

"We have been watching this farm for several days. The Queen Thea is visiting a friend here. She can never turn away someone in need..Make up a story go to her and make sure she takes you back to the castle." Jaxon said beginning to take my bonds off.

"You're...you're sending me away?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Yes. You will seduce the king." Jaxon laughed. "Get him distracted while using your powers to also destract his men. Release everything on Christmas night. So we can attack."

"That's your plan. You want to attack the castle ? Why ? This king has been nothing but kind to his people." I questioned him which earned me another smack across the face.

"This kings Father took everything from me. His blood runs in our kings veins. And it will run in another child if I do not end it. I will avenge my family. And considering magic is unknown to this kingdom he will not expect a thing. You will do as you are told." Jaxon said releasing the last rope.

I grabbed at my wrist and ankles. Deep purple rings ran around them. "My powers are no good for what you ask. They only work to induce lust and sex. I'm not like other witches."

He grabbed me by the throat and forced me to my feet. "Don't sell yourself short. Lust will be the perfect thing to distract the king and his men long enough for us to infiltrate the castle."

"If I do this....you will let me and my sister go?" I asked breathing deeply as he released his grip.

"Of course." He smiled a devious smile. "Seduce king Silas and make the rest of his men run so dizzy in circles around the castle after maids they won't know what's coming. Now go. No time to waste."

I didn't think, I just moved so I didn't get hit again. My feet felt so numb from being tied up I wasn't sure how I was managing to walk. I approached the farm and suddenly I realized I had no idea what I would say. Several knights stood about dressed in armor. They stood quickly as I approached.

"Stop !" One shouted.

"State your business!" Yelled another.

"Please you must help me!" The tears came running down my face out of no where. Part of it was acting but mostly it was a relief I was away from those men. Two women exited a small cabin one was very pregnant. The other was dressed in royal fabrics, that had to be Queen Thea. "These men they...they captured me. Have held me captive for months they...they touched me. Please please hide me so they don't find me."
