Another day of training went by quickly and Hajime had found her evolved quirk easier to use. Every now and again, she'd ask Setsuna if she could test her quirk on her, which she reluctantly complied to and allowed herself to be a puppet.

The hard work had finally payed off, because they were finally going to experience a more exciting side of camp. The test of courage. For obvious reasons, the heroes were sceptical of letting Hajime participate, but Ragdoll soon found a solution.

So that's why she was stood outside in the dark, with her headphones on full blast, the song 'Snap Out Of It' being heard from her classmates too.

"Perfect, we've filled our belly's and cleaned the dishes. Now it's time for..." Pixie-Bob yelled, some of the crowd participating in her excitement.

"A totally awesome test of courage!" Mina cheered.

"We're gonna win!" A few of class 1A encouraged. However, the bouncing joy around them was shattered by Aizawa'a monotone voice.

"Not so fast. It pains me to say this but but remedial class will be training with me tonight instead."

"You've got to be kidding me!" Mina screamed, and Hajime swore she saw the girls pupils completely disappear in her rage.

"Sorry." The teacher continued and tied the students in his scarf. "Your training today didn't impress me, so I'll be using this time."

"Awwww give us a break." Kaminari frowned.

"I just wanna prove my courage!" Both Kirishima and Sato cried as they were dragged away to the main building.

Without waiting for the students to get out of ear shot, Pixie-Bob continued. "Okay, so. Class B is going to act as our scarers while class A leave in pairs every three minutes. There are tags with your names in them at the far end of the route, your goal is to collect those."

"Revelry in the dark." Tokoyami muttered.

'Why does he keep saying that?' Ochako questioned.

"Now those who are scarers, aren't allowed to make physical contact. So use your quirks to terrify the others! Got it?" Ragdoll added.

"The winners are..." Tiger initiated. "The creative students who make the most people piss their pants."

"Did we need that visual?" Jiro questioned.

"Is he even allowed to say that?" Hajime added.

"I see, they're encouraging us to stoke our imaginations as we compete with each other whilst showing us more uses of our quirks." Iida somehow managed to gather. "As expected of U.A."

'His expectations are way too high.' Hajime thought.

"All right!" Pixie held paper strips in her hands. "Everyone draw to see who your partner is going to be."

Just as commanded, the students drew straws and managed to find a partner, Kokoro always hated leaving her fate to chance, but when she heard that Midoriya had drawn her, she wasn't entirely disappointed.

"Hajime." The freckled boy made his way through the crowd and followed the noise emitting from the telepaths headphones. "You're going to wear those in there?" He tilted his head.

"Yeah, this way, I won't be able to precisely predict where the scarers are." She shouted, thinking her volume was average.

"Oh, that makes sense." He replied. "We're partners so we'll be facing 1B together." He also yelled, figuring her hearing wasn't ideal.

"That's great!" She stuck her thumbs up.

Gradually, the duos began to filter into the forest, screams echoing and implying 1Bs possible victory. Midoriya and Hajime were set to enter the test of courage last, but they still had a while to go before it was their turn.

"Should we discuss strategies?" Midoriya persisted, distracting his teammate from her music.

"It's a test for courage, we don't need a strategy." Kokoro answered. "Chill out, its all gonna be fine."

And she was right, until a new smell flooded her nostrils. Smoke.

"What's this foul smell in the air?" Mandalay sniffed again.

"Do you see that?"

"Black smoke."

"Has something set ablaze?"

Hesitantly, Hajime took off her headphones and everything changed. She'd suddenly been transported from a safe, fun and exciting camp, to a dangerous, life-threatening, disaster. Her quirk opened her mind to reality, informing her of the new presences on the land. Including a presence she didn't want to reconnect with. Himiko Toga.

Authors note : I seriously woke up yesterday to have #1 in fanfiction, that was such a surprise. Anyways, this chapter was shorter than usual because I wanted to separate the fighting from the usual happy camp.
