Kokoro had warned Hitoshi, but he didn't listen, and now, he was realising how ill prepared he was to fight Midoriya. He'd dodged a few of his punches and some of his kicks, but he knew he wasn't as fast as his girlfriend, so he did get caught a few times. However, his biggest regret was allowing Midoriya to use his quirk, because there was no end to the pain his attacks caused.
'Crap!' Shinsou quickly thought as Midoriya raised his leg to attempt the axe kick, but just in time, he wrapped his scarf around the others ankle and jerked it to his side. Unfortunately, the power of him slicing through the air still caused him to slightly stumble to the side. Given the advantage, Midoriya raised his leg again, and aimed for Shinsou's ribs, but as soon as he was about to make contact, he stopped his leg, causing another gust of wind to send Hitoshi flying.
Shinsou was losing, despite all his efforts to turn the tables. He was lucky that Midoriya was holding back with his quirk, and that he actually hadn't physically hit him with it. Instead, he used the force produced to knock Hitoshi over.
"I think this has gone on long enough." Hajime tried to but in, but both were still captivated in the fight. "Dumbasses, I said cut it out." She focused on their individual minds and stopped the two from continuing. Kokoro looked at Hitoshi, covered in grass stains and scrapes, with a nice purple bruise blossoming on his face, matching his hair. Yet Midoriya was unscathed, no cuts, no scrapes and only a few bruises where Hitoshi managed to land a hit on him.
"But, the fights not over yet?" Midoriya questioned, hoping to win.
"It was over a while ago, you just decided to outstretch it." She explained. "I understand that you're under a lot of pressure, trust me, I know exactly what's going through your head. But, you can't take out your frustrations on other people. You used one of the moves you'd practiced in that fight, so don't bullshit me by using that as an excuse."
'She's right, I didn't even realise it, but I'm not trying to get stronger to save Eri. I'm just using Shinsou as a punching bag, just like what Kacchan did to me.' Midoriya thought.
"Sorry, I think I'm just a little on edge." The boy apologised. "I might head back, I don't think I'm up to continue training." He bowed again and then ran back to the dorms.
"And you, have you got anything to say for yourself?" Kokoro looked over at Shinsou, who was a lot more beat up than Midoriya.
"Are you embarrassed of me because I'm not as strong as the others. I doubt any of your hero course friends would get used as a punching bag in a fight they initiated." He replied, face void of any emotion, as though he was trying to hide the fact he was hurt.
"Hitoshi, you're bleeding." Kokoro changed the subject, if she gave him a direct answer, he probably wouldn't enjoy it.
"He isn't, I barely even landed a hit." Shinsou retorted, referring to his opponent.
"I warned you not to fight him. If you were to face most in my class, I have no doubt you'd win, but Midoriya's improved since the festival, a lot. He didn't mean to use you as a punching bag, he's just going through a lot right now." She defended, relating to his situation.
"You're taking his side?"
"What do you want me to say?" Hajime shot back, she wasn't demeaning Hitoshi in any way, but he somehow took offence. "Do you want me to agree with you? Tell you that you're weak and didn't stand a chance? Because I don't like being wrong. Truth is, you stood your ground, sure, you got hit down a few times, but you did what any hero would. You got right back up again." She spoke.
Hitoshi didn't answer, but his thoughts made his response clear. Deep down, he knew she was right, but he didn't want her to be, not after he humiliated himself.
