When the class finally arrived back at the dorms, they were met with an angry Bakugo. He looked more irritated than usual, but that was mostly because Mineta and Sero were mocking his cleaning skills, which he blamed on Midoriya. But other than that, everyone else was exhausted.
"Man, I'm so beat." Sato sighed and rested on the sofa.
"Yeah, Present Mic's class today, did you understand any of that?" Kirishima agreed.
"What was the grammar he was talking about?"
"I was like, is this even English?"
"I thought it was fine. You just have to wrap your head around some of the phrases. A comma represents a breath. For example, my favourite things are eating my dog and cat. That sounds odd, but add some grammar and my favourite things are; eating, my dog, and cat." Hajime briefly explained. "Get it?"
"Ugh! You're hurting my brain!" Mina waved her arms around.
"But, you don't have a brain." Kaminari chimed in.
"It's true, I've checked." Hajime smiled.
"Yeah, but what about those work study things?" Jiro asked. "I wasn't scouted so I wonder if I'll be able to participate."
"Maybe we can go to the places we did our internships."
'In just one day, I've been completely left behind!' Midoriya thought as Iida managed to synchronise a high pitched voice.
"That's what you're thinking, right, house arrest?" Iida taunted.
"Hey, don't call me that, it's mean." Izuku protested, but he still had his questions. "Um, Iida, what's a work study?"
"Something I can't tell you about. The teachers have forbidden us from giving you any details of our classes. You'll just have to experience the same shock and surprise we went through." The class rep interrupted. "Did you catch that, Bakugo!" Iida continued to provoke them.
"Shut your mouth! I heard you four eyes!" Then an idea came to mind, he only knew one person who didn't care much about the rules, even if it was humiliating, he needed to know. "Elf ears! Get over here!" He ordered.
"How polite of you." Hajime scoffed, but complied nonetheless. "What makes you think I'll tell you anything?" She wondered.
"As if I'd ask you for help."
"Then why am I here?" She smirked victoriously when he remained silent and hummed. "So, for English, you don't have to worry, because Mic's going to have to go through that lesson again anyways. Maths, was just revising a previous topic. And also, hero work studies. I can't give you any details, but a computer can, or even your phone. I don't know why Iida made such a big deal of it."
"Because he's a kiss-ass." Bakugo scoffed.
"Can't argue with that." The telepath agreed. "Anyways, I have my meeting with Chieko in a few minutes so I've got to tidy. See ya."

Later, after quickly tidying her room, Chieko hurried through the door with her files in hands and her glasses practically falling from her nose. Somehow, she always managed to be either late or early to their meetings, and Kokoro couldn't decipher why.
"Sorry I'm late, I've got another patient that sometimes runs overtime. But, gosh he's so quiet, it's difficult to get him to open up." She apologised.
"You shouldn't be giving patient information away, especially considering he's a student at U.A." Hajime advised, but once again, her therapist had forgotten about her telepathy.
"Sugar." The woman nearly swore. "I forget you can do that. But it doesn't matter, today isn't about him, it's about your success in the previsional license exam. I've heard good things."
"Yep, I was pretty cool."
"So, something tells me you met an old friend, just a hunch." Chieko's quirk.
"Actually, I saw a few people from my middle school."
"Friends?"
"No, this may come as a shock to you, but I wasn't well liked." Hajime informed, even if it was slightly embarrassing.
"How so? You've got many friends here at U.A."
"Well, I was bullied before I was friends with Himiko, it died down a lot when I was with her. But when she left, it hit me twice as hard. So when I saw them in the exam, I just knew, they couldn't be heroes."
"Couldn't be heroes? What are you getting at?" Chieko was interested. She'd met with a few people who held similar values, each of which reminded her of the hero killer, she hoped Hajime hadn't taken a turn for the worst.
"Well, before the exam began, they challenged me to a fight. I could sense an ambush, so I agreed. When I got there, each of them targeted me, they wanted me to fail because of some stupid middle school theory that I would become a villain. I realised, they hadn't changed at all, and they shouldn't be underestimating me. So, I took them out, every last one of them failed. And I don't regret it."
'So, I guess she's just filled with vengeance. That doesn't surprise me, but if she does possess that trait, then why doesn't she do more to arrest the people responsible for her capture? Maybe she doesn't want to, but why?"
"After the exam, Hawk's approached me. He said that there's a work study waiting for me when the time comes. I think, I'm going to accept it." Kokoro changed the subject.
"That's good, it'll really kickstart your career."
"Yep."
