Jayden was over at the Hummel home with Brittany as they helped Kurt out with a project. He wanted to recreate Beyoncé's song Single Ladies, so he invited the two girls over to teach him the choreography and to be in the video with him.

As they filmed, Brittany looked over at Jayden out of the corner of her eye. She looked so little compared to her and Kurt, which made her even cuter. She loved the way she seemed to lose herself in the music as she danced, and she could tell she's had years of practice, much like herself.

The blonde was pulled from her thoughts as the music shut off, and the three looked to see Kurt's dad, Burt.

"Dad," Kurt breathed. "You're home early."

"Deadliest Catch is on," Burt said, brows furrowed as he looked at his son's outfit. "What are you wearing?"

"It's a unitard," said Kurt. "Guys wear them to, uh, work out nowadays. Do sports. They wick sweat from the body."

"I think the football guys wear them," Jayden said in an attempt to help the older boy out. "I think I heard Finn talking about it once."

"Yeah, all the guys in football wear them," the brunette boy said. "They're jock chic."

"Totally," said Brittany. "Kurt's on the football team now. He's the kicker, that's the smallest guy on the field, right? Like you, Jayden. But, in your case, the smallest girl."

"Yeah, Britt and Jayden were just helping me with some conditioning work," Kurt said as a small blush crept onto the younger girl's cheeks from the blonde's sweet smile.

"Hm, really?" Burt questioned. "You know, I played in JC before I busted up my knee popping wheelies on my dirt bike."

"Cool, I guess we'll have something to talk about, then," Kurt chuckled.

"So, one of you two his girlfriend?" Burt asked as he looked between Jayden and Brittany.

Kurt put an arm around Jayden, who tensed up at the contact as he pulled her close to him. Brittany pressed her lips together and lowered her gaze, shuffling her feet. Her feelings were really confusing right now, but she didn't like the idea of Jayden dating anyone else, much like she didn't like the idea of Santana being with anyone else.

"But I'm not ready to be exclusive just yet," Kurt said as Jayden smiled awkwardly.

"Alright, just keep the music down. I can't hear myself think up there," Burt said before turning to head back upstairs. Jayden broke away from Kurt, who mouthed 'sorry.' "And hey, Kurt," Burt said, turning back around. "Be sure to get me a ticket to your first game."

Kurt nodded and forced a smile until the door to his room clicked shut and his expression turned to a mixture of fear and worry.

Jayden was sitting with Tina and Artie while Mr. Schuester handed out sheet music. Everyone was looking over the parts they were assigned, and Rachel was quick to speak up.

"Excuse me, this isn't the right key."

"No," said Mr. Schue. "It's actually the right key."

"No, no, this is the alto part," Rachel protested.

"Yep," the curly haired man confirmed. "Jayden's doing the solo."

"But I don't want to do the solo," Jayden pouted.

"I'm sorry, there must be some sort of mix up," Rachel scoffed. "I thought I made it very clear that anything from West Side Story goes to me. Maria is my part! Natalie Wood was a Jew, you know–"
