Jayden exchanged a look with Artie and Tina as they watched Quinn clean purple slushie off of Finn.

"This isn't good," Artie mumbled, shaking his head.

"If F-Finn and Quinn g-got slushied, n-none of us are s-s-safe," Tina stuttered.

"Those things are cold," Jayden pouted, hugging her cardigan closer to her. "I don't ever wanna be slushied again."

"The slushie war has commenced," Kurt spoke up from where he sat next to Mercedes.

"And if Finn and Quinn got nailed, none of us are safe," she added.

"I hate slushies," Jayden pouted, leaning her head onto Tina's shoulder. "I used to love them. This school ruined them for me."

"It'll be okay, Jay," Tina said as she put a comforting arm around her tiny friend's shoulders.

"Okay, guys," Mr. Schue announced his presence as he walked into the choir room. "We're a little behind for sectionals thanks to our Sue Sylvester detour. But you guys seem to really enjoy doing mash-ups, right? I'm going to keep you guys fired up. Plus, there's an important lesson to be learned with mash-ups. Sometimes things don't feel like they do together. But the big difference between them is what makes them great. Like... chocolate and bacon."

"Or Glee Club and football," Finn mumbled as Quinn continued to clean the slushie off his face.

"Tall people with little one's," Brittany whispered, looking to where Jayden sat on the floor with Tina and Artie.

"Exactly," Mr. Schue said, pointing at Finn. "But you've proven that it's a great combination. So, here is my personal favorite song, and your homework for the week is to find an unexpected mash-up to go with it."

"Homework?" Jayden frowned as she sat up and looked at the sheet music the teacher handed her.

"Bust a Move?" Kurt furrowed his brows.

"Yeah, this song is old school," Mercedes chuckled.

"Alright, um, Artie. Try to follow along on the base," Mr. Schue instructed. "Finn, take us through it."

"Uh, I'm sorry, Mr. Schuester," said Finn. "I got corn syrup in my eye."

"Okay. Uh, Puck. How about it?"

"I don't really groove on Young MC," Puck declined.

"I am shocked at the lack of leading-man ambition in this room right now," Rachel said, disappointed.

"It's okay, Rachel," said Mr. Schue. "I guess I'm going to have to show these guys how it's done."

"Please no," Jayden quietly begged.

"Bust it!"

The football guys were forced to choose between Glee Club and football, so the New Directions all stood together as they watched the clock, anxiously awaiting to see which extra-curricular they would choose.

Jayden stood in between Rachel and Tina, holding on tightly to her sister's hand. She knew how important this decision was. If the boys choose Glee, they'd have all the members they needed to compete at sectionals. If they choose football, then the club would be over.

The clock hit 3:30, and everyone turned their heads to the door of the choir room.

No one came in.

"I guess they're not coming," Mr. Schue said as the club frowned in disappointment. "I'm really sorry, guys."

Jayden sighed sadly, her lips forming into a slight pout.

"Don't be sad, Guppy," Brittany cooed, pulling the tiny freshman in front of her into a hug.
