Jadelynn couldn't say she was surprised when Sue Sylvester ended up disbanding Glee Club despite their 1st place win at nationals. The cheerleading coach had had it out for them since day 1, and she finally had the power to win a battle four years in the making.

The warm spring air blew Jade's brunette hair as she sat outside on the steps of the courtyard with Brittany, her head resting on her shoulder, their pinkies linked together like old times, the familiar butterflies fluttering in both their stomachs.

They might not be together, but all the same feelings were still there. Jade's always loved Brittany and Santana. Even when they were broken up, she never stopped. All of her frustrations with Santana came from the aching love she feels for her – love that for the longest time she felt was being ignored and pushed to the side.

"Knight takes pawn," Brittany spoke into the megaphone. "Ollie, that means you come sit with us now."

"Yayyyyyyy!" Oliver ran over to his moms and hugged Brittany's legs with a huge smile. The blonde picked him up and pulled him into her lap. She kissed his cheek before extending the megaphone to Jade.

"Guppy, your move."

"Pawn to A-6," Jade said.

"Ollie?" Brittany lowered the megaphone to him.

"Nite see tree." Oliver giggled and clapped his hands together.

"Brittany, Jade, what the hell is this?" Santana asked as she walked up to the two. "Why is Ollie dressed like a chess piece?"

"Ollie and the chess club are helping me and Jade recreate the historic 1972 world championship between Bobby Fischer and Boris Spassky," Brittany said, sighing as she looked out at the giant chess game in front of her. "And it's the only creative outlet I have now that my life is one never-ending math equation."

"I hate math." Jade scrunched her nose.

"Is that why you're skipping class?" Santana asked, raising a brow at her girlfriend.

"It's the last fudging week." Jade scoffed with a roll of her eyes. "What's the point? I don't need to go to class. I don't need to do anything except not die and then walk across that stage on Friday."

"This is freaking me out," Santana said, looking between the two girls in concern. Jade had been acting off ever since Sue announced that the club was over, and Brittany had been anything but herself since coming back from MIT. "This is not you. Jay, you never skip class–"

"I skip class all the time when you fuck me in the janitor's closet," Jade muttered under her breath, thankfully not loud enough for Ollie to hear.

"–And Britt, you love to dance. And I know that you think you're a little rusty right now, but you'll get it back. I'll prove it to you."

"How?" Brittany frowned, her nose scrunching.

"Let's do a number together," Santana declared. "The three of us."

"Yes!" Jade gasped, her ocean eyes lighting up.

"No." Brittany shot down, and the younger girl pouted. "Those days are over. This is my life now." She raised the megaphone to her lips. "Bishop to E-3!"

Jade sighed and looked at Santana. "Sorry, Tana." She shrugged lightly and nodded to Brittany. "I've gotta stick with her."

Jade frowned when she noticed April Rhode's giving Kurt and Blaine flasks of whisky. She rubbed her lips together and leaned forward a little, but Cassie grabbed her shoulders and pulled her back, sending her a pointed look.
