"Alright, we need $5,000 to pay for our trip to nationals in New York," Mr. Schue said as he wrote a math equation on the board.

"What about the money we got from the Cheerios?" Quinn asked, her brows pulling together.

"Uh, I guess Sue was hiding it in offshore accounts in the Cayman Islands, and we're having some trouble accessing some of it...Any of it," Mr. Schue sighed. He took a piece of candy out of one of the boxes sitting on top of the piano and held it up. "This is saltwater taffy."

"I love saltwater," Brittany said.

"Remember when we went to the ocean last summer, and you tried to drink it?" Jayden asked, chuckling.

"I got sand in my mouth," Brittany scrunched her nose, shaking her head. "Sand does not taste good."

"When I was a student here, we paid for our entire trip to nationals selling this," Mr. Schue said as he tossed the piece of taffy to Finn, who struggled to catch it. "Classroom to classroom, door to door. We pushed this stuff like crack."

"How is he allowed to teach here?" Jayden frowned, flinching as a piece of taffy hit her in the face. "Brittsy, I've been assaulted."

"Nooo, poor Guppy," Brittany cooed, gently rubbing her cheek with the pad of her thumb.

"So, to make $5,000 at 25 cents apiece, we need to sell 20,000 pieces of taffy," Mr. Schue told them as he pointed to the equation he wrote on the board.

"Wait," Santana frowned. "Do you honestly think that we can sell 20,000 anythings? I mean, we won regionals for the first time since dinosaurs roamed the planet, and I still got a freaking cherry ICEE facial."

"Yeah, Santana's right," Quinn agreed. "Nobody cares about us."

"I can't listen to this," Mike mumbled as he stood up to leave.

"Mike, are you okay?" Mr. Schue asked.

"No," Mike scoffed. "You guys complain all the time about being mistreated, but you have no idea what it's like to work your butt off for something and have everyone, even your friends, ignore you."

"I'm so trying to remember his name right now," Lauren whispered to Puck.

"Artie, Tina, Brittany, Jayden, and I are on the Brainiacs," Mike said as the other four teens stood up to join him.

"Isn't that the academic decathlon team?" Rachel asked. "Jayden, why didn't you tell me you were on that?"

"I did," Jayden frowned, crossing her arms over her chest.

"We have one of those?" Finn asked.

"Yes, we do," Artie said, crossing his arms over his chest. "The five of us went on the Smarty Pants Show and beat Carmel High to go to the academic decathlon finals next week."

"You guys were on TV?" Sam asked. "Why didn't you tell us about it?"

"We did," the five brainiacs said.

"Wait, I get the four of you being on the team–" Mr. Schue started.

"Because two of them are Asian, Artie wears glasses, and Jayden's always studying like a freaking nerd?" Puck asked.

"You shut your mouth," Jayden said, pointing a finger at the mohawk boy.

"But Brittany?" Mr. Schue asked.
