It was the day of the wedding, and Jadelynn July was completely freaking out. She anxiously paced around her dressing room, her nails digging into her palm, her breathing rapid.

"Jade, you need to relax." Cassie walked up to her daughter and took her hand. She gave it a comforting squeeze.

"Relax?" Jade scoffed, laughing almost hysterically. "Relax? Oh, that's easy for you to say. You're not the one who's fiance saw you and Brittany in your wedding dresses when we were out shopping! That...That's bad luck, Mom! Brittsy almost slaughtered a chicken to counteract it!"

"Baby, breathe." Cassie held her daughter's face in her hands. She used the pad of her thumb to brush away a tear that leaked out of her eye and kissed her forehead. "Everything is going to work out just fine, okay? Take a deep breath and meditate. Drink some water. It'll help your nerves."

"O-Okay." Jade took a shaky breath and nodded. She hugged her mom before lifting up the skirt of her flowy wedding dress and walking over to the couch. She took a seat and put on some calming music, closing her eyes and leaning her head back as she focused on her breathing and repeated an affirmation to herself.

Everything was going to be okay.

Everything was going to be okay.

Everything was going to be okay.

"Okay, Mercedes, I need you to find a spider, 'cause it's good luck to put a spider on your dress," Brittany said as she paced in the room where she was getting ready. "Um, and Tina, I need to find some wine glasses to smash like the Jews do, 'cause they have the best of luck. Oh, and, um, Rachel, I need you to find me a lizard to cross my path...Trust me, it's, like, witch's lore, or something."

Mercedes, Tina, and Rachel all looked at Brittany like she was crazy. Out of everyone having pre-wedding jitters, the tall blonde had it the worst.

"Go!" Brittany snapped, waving her arm towards the door. "I need all the good luck I can get, okay? I don't want to end up like Jack and Rose!"
