Misty and The Secrets of Forbidden Spinjitzu (Ninjago)

a Rocky Start

 The ninja was running around packing. Misty was walking along the hallways dodging the others as they ran past with items in their hands. Cole rushed past her shouting, "Has anyone seen my sunscreen?"

"No!" Screamed Kai as he rushed into his room and tossed out a few changes of clothes and a duffle bag.

Misty pressed herself against the wall as she saw Jay running down the hall with a cooler over his head. She saw Lloyd then stopped in the middle of the hallway and called out, "Where's my sword?" He then ran off. Kai ran down the hall and past his sister who asked, "Are you bringing sneakers or boots?"

"Sneakers!" Zane answered as he ran past

"Boots!" Kai counted as he again ran past his sister. Nya's face turned into a frown and she glared after her brother. Who nearly collided with Lloyd in the hallway.

Kai was holding a comic book and pulling a luggage box. Lloyd noticed the comic in Kai's hand and said, "Hey, is that my Starfarer comic?"

"You lent it to me, remember?" Kai said

"Like a year ago!" Lloyd replied

"Ugh. Take it," Kai sighed and he shoved the comic book back into Lloyd's hands.

Zane was walking down the hall carrying a pile of clothes and he stopped as he saw Cole and asked, "You're not bringing that, are you?" He was talking about the hat that Cole always wore.

"My soda-guzzler? You bet." Cole said grinning he had his suitcase with him.

"I thought we were only supposed to pack essential items," Zane said raising an eyebrow.

"This is essential. How am I supposed to quest and stay hydrated at the same time, Zane?" Cole asked and then took a slurp of his soda.

Just then Misty's chicken came squawking and flapping out of Jay's room wearing his travel pillow around her neck.

Jay followed with his travel chest and grabbed the travel pillow and held it up and asked, "Anyone have room for my travel pillow?"

"No!" the Ninjas shouted.

Misty walked over and gently picked up her Chicken clucked happily and nuzzled the girl's arm.

"You've named it yet?" Jay asked

"Chicken," Misty said matter of factly.

Jay raised an eyebrow and said, "You named a Chicken... Chicken?"

"It was that or Nugget," Misty said with a shrug

She then patted the Chicken on the head and said, "Now you be good for Master Wu okay?"

The chicken let out a single cluck and then Misty set her down and helped Jay carry his chest outside to the courtyard where the ninja had piled their supplies.

Lloyd let out a sigh as he placed the last item in the pile and said, "That's the last of it."

Wu walked out with Pixel and said, "What is the meaning of this?"

"We're off on our quest. Remember?" Lloyd said with a smile and then added, "To hone our ninja skills."

"How long are you going for?" Wu questioned

Jay was wearing his travel pillow and said, "I don't know. Day or two?"

"It's like you always say, better to have it and not need it. Then need it and not have it." Cole said

"I never said that," Wu muttered

Jay then shouted, "Ha! And you say we never listen." Jay

"I never said that either," Wu replied

"Master Wu, perhaps this is an opportunity to field-test the new joint-tactical vehicles," Pixel offered

"Oh! What new-joint-tactic--What?" Kai said his voice trailing off.

Pixel lead them to the living room and threw three throwing stars at the dart board. It swung aside to reveal a red button. When she pressed it, the tv moved and the walls slid open to reveal a secret entrance that lead to an elevator. They entered it and Pixel placed her hands on a scanner and then it started to go down. Soft music played in the background.

"Did anyone know this was here?" Lloyd asked

"No," Cole admitted

Misty then raised her hand.

Kai then sighed and said, "Nobody tells me anything,"

"We've been working on it for the past six months," Pixel said

"I helped out a little, but not much," Misty admitted

"I didn't even notice any construction," Jay shouted.

"You were playing video games."

When the elevator opened there were inside a Cavern. Spattered on the ceiling were crystals that ranged in colors from White, and purple, to even some fuchsia that had been Misty's doing they glowed softly and provided some light.

The other ninja's cheered and ran forward Jay grabbed the front of Lloyd's clothes and shook him screaming, "We have a secret base!"

Lloyd turned to Misty and pointed to the crystals on the ceiling and said, "You did those?"

Misty nodded as she gazed up at the crystals on the ceiling.

"When did you start being able to create the other color of crystals?" He asked

"Ever since our run-in with the Oni. I think when my Oni side became more prominent it affected my abilities. I still don't know what the other colors mean, so far it seems like it's just aesthetic. The black as far as I can tell still explodes and the white crystal is the most stable.

Misty then created a piece of crystal and it was purple in color, she placed it in Lloyd's hand it glowed slightly.

Misty then looked up and saw the other Ninja had already rushed ahead. she heard Kai shout "Whoa!"

"No Way!" Cole marveled.

"Wow!" Nya said

"I can't believe it." Zane agreed.

"Whoa!" Kai and Cole laughed as they stared at two new vehicles.

Nya then rushed over and said, "What's that?"

"It is a heavily armored six-wheeled mobile command vehicle. I call it the Land Bounty."

"Dibs on the cycle!" Cole shouted

"I got the red one!" Kai shouted

"Aw!" Jay said

"Each vehicle is equipped with an Operations Manual. Please be sure to thoroughly read-" Pixel never got to finish what she was saying. As the ninja rushed into the Land Bounty. Lloyd grabbed Misty's hand and dragged her inside.

And soon they were tearing out of the cave. Nya was at the wheel and cheering.

"Epic quest, here we come!" Jay shouted
