The Darkest Hour

The Geckles, the Munce, and the ninja were running from Grief-Bringer. Through the tunnels in desperation.

"That horrible cry! That's Mief-Bringer, the dragon! No mistake," Murtessa grunted as she ran.

"You said Grief-Bringer was killed by some great hero!" Nya cried as she turned to look at Murtessa.

"It was! It's back. Skull Sorcerer must have reanimated it," The ex-Munce queen explained

Gluch was panting as he ran and screamed out in a shrill voice to Kai who was running beside him, "The cave! The Strong-Cave!"

"What?!" Kai shouted back he could barely make out what Gluch was screaming as the Geckle was so out of breath he could barely speak.

"The—the Strong-Cave. It's our. . ." He took a gasp of air and cried, "Our only hope!"

"Oh, finally, some good news," Kai said as he spotted ahead of them a cave opening, "Guys—" Kai started to shout but was cut off by, Gluch who slammed his hand over Kai's mouth and dragged him to the side.

"Shh! Don't say it out loud! Do you want the Munce to hear?" He hissed as the others ran past them.

"Yeah, that's the point, Gulch! If we leave them out here, they'll get chewed up by that thing! Follow us, everyone!" Kai shouted and he started running again leading the rest of them.

They ran into what looked like a cave filled with bamboo scaffolding which turned out to be bunk beds.

Gulch addressed Kai through pants and gasps "Cha. . . Chancellor Kai. . . you must order the cave sealed!"

"I have to actually say that? Okay, seal the cave! Now!" Kai ordered. The Geckles turned the crank, slowly sealing the cave. Then the chain came to a screeching stop.

"It's stuck!" A Geckle screamed

"Forget the wheel! Cut the chain!" Nya shouted and she ran over to the chain there were two Munces by her side and started attempting to cut the thick chain of metal.

"They're not gonna get shut in time," Lloyd warned

"Then we better buy them sometime!" Jay said as he flipped up the visor of his helmet and pulled out his mace. Swinging the chain back and forth. Kai, Zane, Lloyd, and Jay rushed out of the cave standing in between the entrance and the giant army of skeletons.

Lloyd slashed his sword across the air and Kai slammed his sword against his shield. Zane readied his crossbow pulling back the string.

Lloyd held his shield against his and braced, as he shouted, "You—"

Jay followed suit shouting "—shall—"

"—not—" Kai added

"—be granted permission to traverse beyond this point!" Zane finished shouting at the approaching army. This caused the other three to turn to look at him questioningly.

The Dragon roared and the skeletons rushed toward the ninja. "Ninja, go!" They shouted and they used Spinjitzu.

The Skeletons threw their spears at Kai and Lloyd. Kai boosted Lloyd with his shield. Giving Lloyd the much-needed opening, "Haha!" Kai laughed gleefully as the spears bounced off his shield,

Lloyd still in the air flung his sheild and it knocked over a few skeletons bouncing back into his hand.

The Ninja took off using a combination of spinjitzu, jumps, and leaps to slam into the enemies. Shattering them and causing them to fall into piles of bones. Until they reached the dragon and stood in front of it.
