A Fragile Hope

"Zane? I-I don't understand. How is this possible?" Lloyd said and he got to his feet he gently helped Misty to hers.

"What did you call me?" Zane croaked in a voice that was not his.

"Zane! Your name is Zane! Don't you remember?" Lloyd said desperately and he tried to take a step forward but was blocked by two Blizzard warriors with spears.

"Step back. You are addressing the Ice Emperor!" Vex growled

"We came here for you, Zane. We came here to bring you home!" Lloyd shouted and he gestured to himself and Misty.

Misty nodded her head vigorously.

"This... is my home," Zane replied

"No. Ninjago is your home," Lloyd said and he pushed against the spears.

"Nin... ja-go?" Zane replied he said it like the word was foreign to him.

"Ninjago, it's our home! It's your home!" Misty said as she stood from behind Lloyd.

Lloyd pushed against the spears again and he was shoved back and pleaded "Think, Zane. Try to remember. We were all together. We were fighting Aspheera and... and she banished you with her staff,"

"Don't listen to him. He lies!" Vex shouted

"It's the truth!" Lloyd shouted and He pushed against the spears again in an effort to reach Zane "Zane. You have to remember something! Or... someone. Master Wu, or Pixal, or-or... Kai?" Lloyd said desperately.

Zane raised an eyebrow and said, "Who?

"Kai! Remember when I threw his reds in with your whites and all your clothes turned pink? And you had to dress up as a Pink Ninja? Remember?" Lloyd said

"No," Zane replied

"That's the memory you chose?" Misty muttered in disbelief

"You have anything better?" Lloyd scowled

"He seeks to deceive you. To confuse you. Let me deal with him, my Lord." The man said and he bowed

Lloyd then said, "You were holding the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu when it happened. It-It must have corrupted you somehow. How long have you been here, Zane? How long have you been holding that?" He pointed to the staff in Zane's hand.

"Many... decades," Zane confessed

"Decades?" Lloyd cried in surprise and then said, "Time must be different here. I don't understand how but-but... Zane, the Scroll has corrupted you, corrupted your power. You have to put it down!" He then tried to get closer to the Ice Emperor but was stopped by the Blizzard Warriors.

"He seeks the scepter!" The man shouted

"Don't listen to him, Zane! This isn't you! You're a good person! You're my friend. You have to trust me. Put it down!" Lloyd cried

The man then shouted, "See?! He desires it for himself." he pointed to both Lloyd and Misty and said "Seize them", The Blizzard Warriors point their spears at Lloyd and advanced menacingly, forcing him to back away nervously. Then they tried to attack the two.

"No!" Lloyd shouted and he leaped through the spears and landed on the ground, He kicked one of the Warriors and back-flips. he threw another to the ground. Misty kicked one backward and swept the legs out from another. Lloyd grabbed the other Warrior's spear and whipped him around before he leaped past Vex and lunged at the Ice Emperor, only to be blasted by his corrupted Ice. Lloyd was knocked backward and onto the ground Misty rushed to his side and bent down beside him. He was knocked out and was immediately set upon by the warriors around her. She struggles against them but it was no use, she didn't dare do much more fearing they would hurt Lloyd.
