The Maze of the Red Dragon

The ninjas were approaching the maze and the dangers that lurked inside its walls.

"We must stay together. The Maze of the Red Dragon has many twists and turns," Okino warned as they entered

"Pfft! No problem. I'm great at mazes," Jay bragged

"This might be harder than the ones you're used to on the backs of cereal boxes." Cole teased Jay and scowled in reply.

Misty looked at the towering walls of the maze that surrounded them and she shuddered. And said "Considering how Milton Dyer has been so far I can only imagine what else might be in here,"

After a few minutes, the ninjas and Okino arrived to walk the pathway of statues that look similar to the ones from Dyer Island.

"Huh. Those statues look familiar," Cole said thoughtfully.

"Yeah. He's right. Those are just like the statues we saw at Dyer Island!" Nya said

"Oh, yeah! The ones that shot lasers at us-" Cole started to say but was cut off as a laser shot past his head only nearly missing him and Nya both.

"Woah!" Both Cole and Nya shouted

The ninja summoned their weapons and ran through the walkway not daring to slow down and risk losing a life.

"Go! Quickly!" Okino urged as they ran and deflected the lasers the best they could.

The ninja and Okino ran through the statues, deflecting the lasers and destroying the statues along the way. The final statue shoots its laser at Jay. Jay dodged the laser and destroys the statue.

"Gotcha!" Jay cheered

"They are many traps here. You must always be aware of your surroundings," Okino said

"Good safety tip. Right, guys?" Lloyd said and turned to the others The ninja nodded in agreement and smiled, Lloyd then was about to take a step but Okino stopped him, then pulls out his sword and presses a floor panel that Lloyd was about to step on and spikes shot out of the panel and the ground ahead of them, they would have killed Lloyd if he had stepped and would kill the rest of them if they misstepped, "Thanks, Okino," Lloyd said

"That... was close," Nya said

"I'm sorry is anyone else wondering what the age limit is for this game?" Misty said as she stared at the panels with wide eyes.

The ninja and Okino slowly avoid the floor panels. By watching where they stepped except for Jay who jumped over the others and even on Lloyd's head to reach the other side. "Jay..." Nya scolded

Jay let out a nervous laugh "Hehe" and then looked at both sides one going left and the other right and he asked, "Which way now?" hoping to change the subject.

"Uh, Okino. Any ideas? Left or right?" Cole said Misty noticed Okino was kneeling on one knee and looked dishearted and deeply troubled. She tugged on Lloyd's sleeve to get his attention. And Lloyd turned and saw Misty walk over to Okino.

Lloyd followed and said, "Okino? Are you okay?" He placed his hand on Okino's shoulder.

"I... I... I am okay," Okino reassured him as he looked at all the ninja's concerned faces.

"So, which way? Left or right?" Cole asked

Okino looked in both directions and pointed right. The ninja and Okino head right.

"As we near the heart of the maze, the danger will grow," Okino warned

"We trust you, Okino," Lloyd said
