~A Few Weeks Later~
The ninjas were doing their best to clean up and repair the Monastery after all the attacks and the neglect it had gone through. Occasionally the ninja would take breaks when it was their day off to do so. Cole meanwhile was using his day off to play Prime Empire along with Misty. Cole had been making sure that Misty not only stayed inside the Monastery but also made sure he stayed by her side whenever he could. Misty was leaning against Cole's shoulder as she read a book with her chicken sitting in her lap. When Lloyd walked in with a laundry basket in his hand. Misty tensed hearing Lloyd's voice say, "Are you seriously playing video games right now?"
"It's my day off. Why wouldn't I be playing video games?" Cole grunted back
"We've been gone for weeks, Cole, and this monastery won't clean itself! We've got laundry to do, leaves to rake, firewood to chop, and don't even get me started on repairing the sentry cannons outside the wall," Lloyd explained
"That sounds like a lot of work. Sure you don't wanna play?" Cole asked smirking.
"Did you just hear me? Cole, we've got a ton to do and - wait. What game is this?" Lloyd asked and stared at the screen he hadn't seemed to notice Misty yet. Which made sense she was hunched down on the other side of Cole and hadn't left her room much in days, she had been skipping dinner and not eating with the others. The other ninja instead would set her meals outside her door to make sure she ate. In the night they would occasionally hear mini explosions and the sound of shattering crystals coming from her room. But when they'd go and check Misty's door would be locked and she wouldn't let them inside and insist they return to their rooms. Nya would usually go to Misty's room the next morning to bring her breakfast and also treat whatever wounds Misty had gotten the night before. She refused to tell, the others how bad they were though.
"Prime Empire," Cole replied
"What?" Lloyd shouted
"What "what"? What's wrong?" Cole asked still playing away at his game.
"Oh, nothing. Except we were just trapped in that game and got cubed!" Lloyd shouted
Cole exchanged looks with Misty's chicken and said, "You need to let go of the past, Lloyd. Anyway, it's totally safe. Unagami and Dyer worked out the kinks and it's really fun. Look, I gotta concentrate. Just about to beat this level."
Lloyd sighed and threw his laundry aside to join Cole on the couch. and said, " I guess one game wouldn't hurt." He jumped onto the couch and grabbed the other controller. The chicken on Misty's lap squawked and flapped her wings causing Misty to yelp giving her away.
Lloyd's eyes widened and he stammered out, "M-Misty your here and out of your room!"
Misty wouldn't meet Lloyd's eyes and murmured softly, "Yeah," She gently stood up and left the room. Lloyd stood up and said, "w-wait Misty!"
But Cole reached out and grabbed his arm and said, "Hey, Lloyd you're my player two you've got to stay!" and he yanked Lloyd back.
Lloyd looked annoyed but he stayed where he was. Meanwhile Misty went out to the courtyard where she knew Jay and Nya would be raking leaves. She entered the courtyard quietly and heard Jay say, "Ugh, how are there this many leaves? I don't even see any trees."
"They blow over the walls, Jay. And we've been gone a while. Aspheera's invasion, our little trip to the Never-Realm, being stuck in Prime Empire." Nya explained
Jay let out a frustrated sigh and said, "This will take forever to clean up. Unless..." he got a cheeky gleam in his eyes.
"No! Don't get any ideas," Nya scolded
