Awakenings

"It's time we finished this, Zane, once and for all!" Lloyd shouted

"My name is not Zane!" Zane roared and he slammed the staff's bottom against the ground. Misty tried not to flinch hearing this.

"Yes, it is!" Lloyd said and he took off his hood and walked toward Zane and past Akita while saying, "And you're going to remember it if I have to knock it into your thick Nindroid skull!"

Misty pulled her hood off and bent down beside Akita

"You... know the Emperor!" Akita shouted

"He's not an Emperor. He's my friend. He's the one I'm here to rescue. It's hard to explain, but I can't let you hurt him, Akita." Lloyd said

Akita growled and her anger helped break her hand free and she screamed, "My will is not yours to command!" She shoved Misty backward and ran toward Zane with her knife.

Lloyd managed to grab her arm and shouted, "Akita, no! This isn't the way! You're letting your anger control you!"

"Stand aside, Lloyd. Or fall with him!" Akita growled

"I won't let you hurt Zane! He's my—Gah!" The Emperor smacked his staff against Lloyd's back knocking him aside and he shouted "There is no Zane!" He then knocked Akita down and blasts his Ice at her.

"No!" Lloyd cried Misty lunged to her feet and created a crystal wall to block the blast but it shattered Lloyd used Spinjitzu and managed to block the Ice.

Lloyd leaped away from Zane. Zane blasted his ice at him and Lloyd blocked it with his Energy. Misty shot crystal at Zane only for it to be deflected as well. Both Lloyd and Misty did their best to fight Zane but it was proving rather difficult. Zane knocked Misty into a wall with his staff and she rolled behind a pillar trying to avoid being hit with ice. But when she looked down she saw it had gotten her left arm and leg.

Lloyd raced around a corner and Zane pursued him. Lloyd ducked as Zane blasts ice at him and ran up a pillar, returning the ice, followed by his blows of Energy at him. "Wake up, Zane!" Lloyd pleaded and he tried to land a blow on Zane but Zane knocked him to the ground, grabbed his feet, whipped him around, then threw Lloyd and he landed at the bottom of the steps.

Zane then blasted his ice at Lloyd and covered his whole body, except for his head, he laughed evilly.

"Lloyd!" Akita screamed and threw her dagger at Zane, but he ducked and it sails past him. Zane then blasted ice at Akita, encasing her in it.

"Akita. Zane. Please." Lloyd begged as Zane approached him.

"I told you. There is no Zane!" He shouted in return.

"That's something I'll never accept!" Misty shouted she pulled herself to her feet and struggled to stand. The Ice Emperor blasted ice at her. And Misty used her unfrozen arm to blast crystal in return. Her eyes glowed brightly, but Zane rushed her and grabbed her unfrozen arm her flung her and she landed in front of where Lloyd was frozen. Zane then cased her hand in ice and stood over her and Lloyd.

"Do it, Master. Finish it!" Vex said as he entered the room behind Zane.

Zane lowered his staff and pointed it at Lloyd and Misty, "Zane." Lloyd groaned Misty braced herself, and said softly, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," Zane pauses and shook his head in confusion.

"I'll do it," Vex said and he grabbed one of the Blizzard Warrior's spears and stalked toward Lloyd, and Misty gloated and said, "Hmm, hmm. Some saviors you turned out to be. You couldn't defeat the Emperor. You couldn't protect your friends."
