Misty and The Secrets of Forbidden Spinjitzu (Ninjago)

Prologue

~Previously~

Misty stopped laughing as she saw Lloyd walk up to her, he had been watching her greet the others and was hanging back.

"Misty uh can we talk?" He asked Misty's face visibly changed and she looked extremely upset. They started making their way back to the monastery.

Cole was watching the exchange and he said, "Hey, Lloyd whatever the conversation you're wanting to have with Misty maybe it should wait,"

"This can't wait," Lloyd said

Misty turned around her voice was shaking and she said, "What is there to talk about Lloyd?! How in the arena you showed you are not over Harumi. I watched her talk about how she wished her and you could be together and how if things had turned out differently you two could have been happy. If you had just let me take the challenge none of this would have happened!" Misty's voice broke as she added, "I have nothing to say to you Lloyd, not a thing!"

"Misty please just let me explain!" Lloyd pleaded

"No! I don't want to hear any more of your excuses!" Misty cried, "Just leave me alone!" she took off running with her hand covering her ears. Lloyd started to chase after her, but Nya caught his arm and shook her head no.

Cole sighed and ran his fingers through his messy hair and said, "She really doesn't need to be alone right now. I'll go and follow her at a distance to make sure she doesn't get into trouble," he started hurrying in the direction Misty had run off in and shouted back over his shoulder, "The rest of you head back to the monastery, I'll bring her back once she calms down,"

Lloyd looked in distress and narrowed his eyes at Cole suspiciously but Jay grabbed Lloyd's other arm and let out a nervous chuckle and said, "Good idea Cole, come on Lloyd I have some things to run by you," and the rest of the ninja made their way back to the Monastery.

~Misty~

Misty ran and ran until she couldn't run anymore and he feet gave out from under her, and she collapsed to her knees in the park under a tree. She was breathing heavily and tears were sliding down her face. But the sadness was soon replaced with anger and she tightened her hold on the grass underneath her fingers. Black crystals sprout up from the ground around Misty and they started glowing.

"Misty!" shouted a voice and the next thing Misty felt was a body slamming into her, she was wrapped up in the person's arms and rolled away. She knew who the person was the moment she was in their arms. They always had a familiar earthy smell to them. She heard an explosion and clumps of dirt ran down her body although most of it was blocked by the person shielding her.

Once the dust settled Cole the Master of Earth got off of her and they both sat up on the grass. He grabbed her shoulders and said, "Your okay right? You're not injured,"

"No, but what about you? You're the one that took most of the explosion," Misty asked

Cole shook his head and looked down at himself and chuckled as he saw the dirt and grass stains on his robes and said nothing a good laundry can't fix. "But you could have been seriously hurt. I doubt a fluff and dry could fix that,"

Misty let out a small laugh but then the tears started welling up in her eyes and she hid her face in her hands. Cole ruffled Misty's hair knocking dirt stuck in it free and said, "It's okay Misty, it'll be okay."

"It doesn't feel like it will be," Misty admitted sadly.

"In the moment it never does that's why it takes time, and the support of others. Luckily you've got me here and when we get back to the monastery you've got, Jay, Nya, Zane, Pixal, Kai, Master Wu, and the Chicken of yours," Cole said with a smile.
