The Real Fall

~Misty, Cole, and Wu~

Understandably Misty, and Cole were both screaming as they fell through the void together. They were both holding hands to stay somewhat together.

"Master Wu! Are you okay?" Cole called up to Wu when they heard Wu screaming as well. Cole and Misty flipped around to look at Wu several meters above them.

"What?" Wu screamed back it was hard to hear with the wind whipping past their ears.

"I said, are you okay?" Cole shouted back

"For the moment, yes!" Wu said

"Speed up! I can't hear you!" Cole shouted to Wu

"I'm falling as fast as I can! You have to slow down!" Wu explained

"How?" Cole screamed

"Use your Elemental Powers!" Wu shouted but his voice was lost to the wind.

"What?"

"Your Elemental Powers! Use your powers to slow down!" Wu screamed as loud as he could and flapped his arms. In an effort to make his point heard.

"You really think that would work?" Cole asked and he gave Misty a skeptical look.

"Yes!" Wu cried

"Okay, here goes nothing," Cole said with a shrug and began flapping his arms. Wu raised an eyebrow. "It's not working!" Cole screamed back. Misty sighed and faced palmed.

"Master Wu! Cole! Misty!" Vania's voice was heard shouting from above them. Misty saw she was flying toward them with a pair of golden wings on her back.

"Princess Vania?" Wu shouted in disblief

"I'm coming! But you have to slow down!" Vania screamed as she shot toward them but she was still too high up.

"How?" Wu cried

"Use your arms, like this!" Vania shouted and she flapped her arms at her side like a bird.

Wu tried but then stopped and said exasperated, "Oh, what am I doing? It's no use. That won't work!"

"We have to create drag" Misty shouted to Cole

"Drag?" Cole asked

"Air Drag! It'll help slow our fall," Misty explained

"And how do you know this?" Cole asked

"When you're a frequent faller off of high things you learn a thing or two," Misty muttered and she shouted, "Spread your arms and legs out as wide as you can!"

"It's not doing enough!" Cole shouted.

"It's the only thing we really can do!" Misty cried.

Cole then spotted a vine growing from the wall and his eyes sparkled and he said, "I've got an idea, hang on Misty!" He tightened his hold on her hand and grabbed a vine, with the other but it broke and flew upward smacking Wu in the face as it flew past him. "I need a bigger vine," Cole muttered and he grabbed another, but it broke as well causing him and Misty to slam into the wall.

The good news was that Wu had managed to catch up to Cole and Misty. "Cole! Stop playing with those twigs and stay with me!" Wu shouted and he grabbed Misty's hand and then Cole and they joined hands. "Gotcha," Cole said.

"Hang on. I'm almost there!" Vania screamed as she strained to reach the four of them.

"Are you sure those wings will hold all four of us?" Cole asked nervously

"No, but it's our only chance! Now reach!" Vania screamed Cole and Wu grabbed her hand and the two then held onto Misty's hands as well, "Gotcha!" Vania cried with relief and the Wings opened and began to fly upward but they sparked sputtered then shattered and they began to fall again.
