One Step Forward, Two Steps Back

The ninja had made it back to Terra Techina without a hitch somehow.

"Guys, welcome to Terra Technica. The second Key-Tana is here but is here, but the only way to win it is to be crowned champion in the Speedway Five-Billion," Jay explained

"What's that?" Lloyd asked

"Only the most dangerous race in Prime Empire. The track is lethal, the turns are deadly, and the other drivers are wild!" Jay said

The ninja walked over to the Admin Droid

And Cole said, "We're here to sign up for the Speedway Five-Billion,"

"Uh, maybe we should start smaller. Do you have a Speedway Five-Hundred?" Kai asked hopefully

"No," The Droid said

"We can't win a Key-Tana that way, Kai. We need to race in the Speedway Five-Billion." Nya insisted

"If only we could," Misty muttered

"Wonderful. The entry fee will be deducted from your account," The Droid said

"How much is it?" Lloyd asked

"Two hundred credits each. You must register as a team of six, which means you need a total of one thousand and two hundred credits," The Droid said.

"One thousand two hundred? Wow. Okay, let's pool our money. I've got, uh, one sixty," Lloyd said

"I've got one ninety-eight," Nya said

"One fifty-three," Cole replied

"A hundred and sixty," Jay added

"Two hundred, those slimes had it coming," Misty snorted

"Twelve?" Kai said awkwardly

"Twelve? How do you only have twelve?" Jay shouted in disbelief.

"What did you spend your credits on?" Cole asked

"This sick new Avatar!" Kai said and he pressed the button on his menu and his appearance changed he was now dressed in sleeveless red robes that had a golden cobra on the back and a red band spread across his eyes and the upper part of his face. His hair was none light blond just like Lloyd's and he said, "Eh? Eh? What do you think?" He asked and he flexed and posed.

Misty scowled as she saw it, she couldn't help but hate it, the red strip reminded her of Harumi.

"That looks AWESOME! Can I have one?" Jay cried excitedly

"No, Jay! Look, guys, we're three hundred and seventeen credits short now. We gotta find a way to come up with that money before!" Nya shouted and then she saw Red Visors heading toward them. The ninja flipped up their masks and stood back to back as the visors started firing their guns at them, "We can't afford to upgrade weapons. We need every credit we've got!" Nya shouted

The ninja's weapons were flickering as they deflected the lasers. Lloyd hopped into a tire and used it to roll down some of the visors shooting at them. Jay was backed into a corner and his weapon shattered.

"Sorry, guys. Gotta upgrade," Jay said and he opened his menu.

An automated voice then asked, "Upgrade for one hundred credits?"

"Better to be poor and alive!" Jay said and he pressed the button he upgraded his weapon and finishes off the Red Visors.

"Great. Now we need four hundred and seventeen credits. Where are we supposed to get that kind of money?" Lloyd asked

"Way to go, Jay!" Kai scolded

"Hey! You're the one with the fancy new avatar!" Jay snapped back
