An Unlikely Ally

The ninjas were doing their best to help the village out Jay and Nya were fixing Sorla's roof.

Nya Shivered and said, "Wow. It is cold up here,"

Jay Shivered and said, "Yeah. My hands are frozen," he was holding a hammer and dropped it and he said, "I can barely feel my... " and he and the hammer slid off the roof, "Huh? Wha-ah!"

"Jay!" Nya shouted and she tried to grab Jay's hand but it was too late he had already fallen and was hanging on to the edge with just a hand.

The hammer landed in the pile of snow Cole and Misty was shoveling. and he said "Huh?" and then looked up only to see Jay crash straight into the pile in front of Cole.

"Oh my gosh! Jay! are you okay?" Misty asked

"Jay? Do you mind? I'm trying to work here." Cole said sounding annoyed

"Jay! Are you okay?" Nya asked peering over the side of the roof.

Cole yanked Jay up as he said, "Aw, yeah. Just great. But I'm getting a little tired of all this ice and snow." Nya jumped off the roof to join them.

"Hey, Nya? Ice is water, right? Why can't you just, you know, use your Elemental Powers and clear away all this snow and ice for us?

"Guess I can't command water when it's frozen. It won't move." Nya explained

"Aw, that's a bummer," Cole said Misty noticed Nya's expression and tried to elbow Cole to be quiet. but Cole didn't notice and continued to say, "You could've been really useful." Jay also seems to notice Nya's expression and also tries to signal Cole to stop talking, but he doesn't and continues to dig himself a deeper grave "Wouldn't that be awesome? If she could just wave her hands and presto! Job done!" Cole said and he continued shoveling and said, "That would save us hours and hours of slow, boring, back-breaking work." Misty moved from beside Cole to standing beside Nya as she watched Nya bend down and make a snowball. Cole was unaware and continued saying, "Oh, well, we'll just have to do it the slow, boring, back-breaking way." just like that Nya chucked the snowball at him. "Ow! Hey..."

Jay chuckled and said, "Speaking of slow, where's Kai?" Three children run by towards Kai, lying in a hammock, holding fish on sticks.

"Hey! Fire Maker! Fire Maker! Fire Maker!" One of the children shouted

"Make the fire! Make the fire!" Another cried

"Mine too!"

"Cook mine! Cook mine!"

"Okay, okay, one at a time." Kai laughed and he cooked their fish, and they leave, chattering happily.

"Hey, where are you going? There's more where that came from! Fire Maker has more miracles!" Kai said

"Fire Maker has more miracles?" Nya aid

"Eh, just keeping the kids entertained," Kai said with a shrug.

" Ah, okay, as long as you're not straining yourself," Nya said sarcastically as Cole, Jay, and Misty walked over to Kai.

"Oh, no. I feel great! You know, this place is actually growing on me. It's really not so bad." Kai said and he lies down and relaxes.

Jay, Misty, and Cole exchange a look and play along. "Well, that's good. That's what it's all about, isn't it?"

"You bet. Rest and relaxation."Cole added

"It is?" Kai asked

"No! It isn't!" Nya shouted and she grabbed Kai's hammock and swings it so hard Kai slammed to the ground. Nya storms away.
