Misty and The Secrets of Forbidden Spinjitzu (Ninjago)

Captured

Misty and Cole were thrown into a cell after they were captured. Cole was shoved in first followed by Misty. Cole caught Misty as she was shoved in. He held her at arm's length and looked her over for serious injuries and said, "You're not seriously injured are you?"

"No, I'm fine," Misty sighed and both of them sunk to the floor sitting beside each other their shoulders touching.

"Well this is definitely not how I imagine spending my first night in Shintaro," Cole sighed

"We'll at least I don't have to worry about blowing up that nice bed," Misty muttered as she leaned against Cole she ran her fingers through her long black hair shaking out some dust.

"Well the good news is the others should be able to rescue us, it's only a matter of time," Cole chuckled

"Hopefully Vania will be okay getting back on her own," Misty said softly

"You seem to really like her," Cole said with a smile

"She seems really cool, reminds me a lot of myself when I was younger," Misty replied with a grin.

"I'm glad you've found a friend, you've been through a lot recently," Cole said softly he felt Misty stiffen hearing this and heard her let out a sigh and said softly, "It's what it is..." her voice sounded broken and it was shaking slightly. Cole chanced a glance over at her and saw, Misty's eyes were glowing dimly and tears were brimming in the corner of them.

"I-I'm sorry Misty I shouldn't have brought it up," Cole said quickly.

"No, it's okay, if anything it helps hearing about it again, for a while it didn't feel real..." Misty replied softly her voice breaking again.

"If it makes you feel any better it didn't feel real for the rest of us either..." Cole replied

"What do you mean?"

"Well you and Lloyd were so happy together, watching both of you be in love was like watching those cheesy romance movies that you just can't help but enjoy," Cole said smiling softly he then let out a sad chuckle and said, "Even I enjoyed observing your guys relationship," Misty looked over at Cole and saw he was now staring at the ground and seemed to be drawing half of a heart in the dirt in front of him. Misty reached over and drew the other half and said, "It's nice to know that looked just as happy as I felt." She smiled but her face then turned into a frown and she said, "but it's over now,"

"Maybe you guys could-" Cole started to say

But Misty cut him off and she turned and grabbed his shoulder and shook him while shouting, "Why, do you keep insisting that we could maybe work it out? What on earth do you want Cole? I thought you liked me? Why do you keep trying to encourage me that maybe just maybe Lloyd and I could work things out!"

Cole met Misty's eyes and saw they were glowing brightly and tears were falling down her face, he sighed and ran his fingers through his hair and said, "Because Misty, you were so happy with Lloyd and, yeah maybe right now you two can't be together but one day maybe you'd be able to give him another chance. And I don't want to be in the way of that,"

"And what if I like you?" Misty snapped

Cole raised an eyebrow and said, "Do you?"

Misty face flushed and she stammered out, "I-I don't know,"

Cole gently ruffled Misty's hair and said calmly, "Misty I don't expect you to know especially not after what's happened between you and Lloyd. I know you still love him, I'd be surprised if you didn't to be honest," Misty loosened her grip on Cole's shoulders and said softly, "Do you even like me anymore Cole?"

Cole smiled a lopsided smile and replied, "My feelings shouldn't be your priority right now Misty, but I'll tell you eventually how I feel I promise," Misty nodded her head silently and she let out a yawn.

Cole smiled and said, "Try and get some sleep, I'll keep watch,"

"Goodnight Cole," Misty yawned and she murmured ever so softly, "I love you," before she leaned on his shoulder and soon he could feel her soft slow breaths against his chest.

Cole chuckled he knew the kind of love she probably meant was not the same as how she felt for Lloyd but still it meant the world to him to hear it, and he said softly, "I love you too Misty more than you know," and he turned his head and gently gave her a kiss on the forehead as she slept peacefully perhaps for the first time in several weeks she did not stir.
