Leveling Up

Jay split the ninja team into two separate groups, to make gaining credits up go faster. The first group was Jay, Kai, and Nya while the second was Misty, Cole, and Lloyd. Jay trusted Cole to take care of the other team considering his ample knowledge of video games in general. The ninja agreed to meet up a few hours later back inside the League of Jay. A League of Jay member was paired up with Cole's group to help them navigate Terra Technica and to get them to a safer area to grind high levels.

They were taken to one of the areas that Cryus mentioned, it seemed fantasy based with a touch of technology wonderment to it. The name of the League of Jay member was Jaybird879 and he took them to a forest clearing. He smiled and pointed at a small little green blob that hopped out from some bushes near the edge of the clearing. "Once you kill enough of those slimes you'll have enough credits to buy gear and better weapons, and if your lucky you'll even have enough credits left over for something else,"

"But they're adorable!" Misty cried and she hurried over to the little green blob and crouched down she reached out her hand to pet it.

"Don't touch it!" the Jaybird879 member shouted but it was too late the little green blob jumped up and in seconds Misty's hand was in the middle of a little green blob that was now hanging off her arm.

"It feels like jello," Misty said and she scrunched her nose up. And then the green blob grew bigger covering now more of her forearm. Misty's eyes widened as she saw this. Cole tried to run toward Misty but, Jaybird879 threw his hand out and stopped him, and said, "Don't if you touch it the slime will consume you too,"

"There has to be something we can do!" Lloyd shouted and he pulled out the weapon that the league of Jay had given him it was a regular Katana. And wouldn't do much damage but he was told it was enough to kill slimes.

"Unless you want to chance to hit your friend I'd advise against it!" Jaybird879 said

Misty eyes were wide as the slime on her arm grew till it was now covering her shoulder. She shrieked and shook her arm up and down violently desperately trying to dislodge the once tiny creature. "Get off you stupid jello creature!" She cried. Right before both Lloyd and Cole's eyes, the slime swallowed Misty's whole and she disappeared. She reappeared by the slime a few seconds later and immediately took out her katana and sliced the creature in half killing it. The creature died and dropped several yellow pieces that were absorbed into her inventory. Misty was breathing heavily and she met both Cole and Lloyd's eyes and said, "We are absolutely not telling Jay about this! He would never let me live it down."

More slimes arrived in the clearing and the three of them got to work clearing them out and collecting the credits. Cole sighed and said, "I really wish we had our elemental powers, they would have been really useful,"

Lloyd chuckled and said, "I know right, we probably would have been able to take out those red visors too,"

Misty however stayed silent and she slashed one of the slimes in half.

The two boys looked in her direction expecting her to agree, however, she didn't, and just furrowed her eyebrows as she cut another slime in half.

"Mist-" Cole started to say his voice was filled with concern he could tell from the expression on her face that she was upset.

But Misty shook her head and said, "I-I I'm glad I don't have my powers here. For once in my life, I'm not terrified of myself. I'm not scared of the idea that potential death and destruction with come from my hands. I'm not a slave to the emotions I feel so strongly and deeply. In here I am not a monster, I'm just me...And finally, I feel like I can pull my own weight on this team. I don't have to fear hurting any of you!" She sliced her blade into a slime after every sentence. And she turned to look at them.
