Diaz Christmas Party

It was Christmas Eve at the Diaz residence. Mr and Mrs Diaz were getting ready for their annual Christmas party. They invited all of theirs and Marco's friends. It was going to be a fun night for all. Except for Marco. He always hated this tradition because he felt the party was too crowded and too close to Christmas and the family would always wake up late. This didn't matter of course, and the party was happening anyway.

"Uggghhh. I hate the annual Diaz Christmas party. It sucks" Marco grumbled.

"C'mon, Marco! I'm sure it'll be fun!" Star reassured.

Marco sighs loudly.

"Yeah, don't be such a Grinch, Marco" Angie laughed

"I'm not a Grinch. I just think that-"

"Yeah yeah, whatever. Just try to have fun, okay?" Angie asked.

"I'll try, that's for sure"

"Wow, Marco. Nice sweater. Where'd you get it?" Mrs Diaz asked randomly.

"Oh, this?"

Marco pointed to his sweater which said 'Cool Guy' on it with a snowman under it with sunglasses.

"Yeah, I got it for him. Doesn't it look great?" Star screamed.

"It looks amazing, Star. Thank you. Just so you know I'm getting you back for this" Marco laughed.

"I'll be eagerly awaiting" Star giggled.

"Okay. I'll be back. I just gotta grab a few things. Need anything?" Marco asked.

"No thanks, Marco. Grab a coat. It's cold out there" Mrs Diaz said as she made more food for the party.

Marco hopped on his bike and headed out towards the store. He was out to get Star something. But he didn't know what. What would an interdimensional princess who can make literally anything with her wand want for Christmas? He wanted his gift to be from the heart. He finally arrived at the mall and looked around for something Star might want. Nothing. Finally, Marco caved in and walked towards the jewellery shop with a sigh. The shopkeeper greeted him with a smile and showed him all the expensive jewellery.

"So, what are you looking for today sir?" the shopkeeper asked Marco.

"I dunno, something not too expensive maybe?"

"I see, are we looking for a gift for a loved one? Your girlfriend maybe?"

"No, it's for a friend"

His girlfriend? Marco had never really thought about that. Of course, he liked her, and maybe he had a ᵗᶦⁿʸ crush on her but she was dating Tom, so he didn't act on his emotions or really think about it too often.

"Right this way, sir"

Finally, Marco found what he was looking for. It was a simple pair of bracelets to which you could add charms to. Marco held his breath as he spent all his money on the bracelets and a heart and moon charm along with a charm which said 'BFF' and broke it two so it could be put on two bracelets. The total was $650.

Marco placed half of the 'BFF' charm along with the moon on one bracelet and vice versa. He placed both of the bracelets into their boxes and wrapped them up.

He cycles home and greets Star and Mrs Diaz, hiding the present behind his back as he made his way upstairs. He hid the presents and lay on his bed. He felt himself nodding off until he was awoken by his friend Tom.

"GAH- Oh, hey Tom" He said groggily.

"Hey, Marco. I came here to help out with the party. You good?"

Marco was a little startled after Tom had just woken him up.
