I couldn't wait, I was on my way to see my girlfriend Yelena. She had been gone for a week for work and I was so excited to see her.
When I opened the door Yelena was sitting in the chair with her head down. I walked around the corner to see a suitcase with all her stuff. I dropped all my things and Yelena never looked up once, but she flinched.
She couldn't look me in the eyes. She held her head in her hands. I rushed towards the bedroom, Yelena running behind me. "Baby, wait come on don't be like this please."
"Well what do you want me to do Yelena , what could I possibly say and do that will change anything." She put her head down. Tears were coming out of Yelena's eyes. "I have to leave y/n, they are going to come after me and I can't let them hurt you. Please just understand why I'm leaving."
I couldn't look her in eyes as she talked to me. "You can't leave me Yelena, you can't." I wanted for her to stay and hold me at nighttime or tell me one of her funny stories about her and Natasha when they were younger.
"I don't want to leave either baby, but I have to leave or they will hurt you." She tried to pull me into a hug ,but I pushed her away. "Please don't push me away" Yelena begged for me to not to be mad. "Why your leaving me anyway, what's the point of me showing you any affection or sentiment."
Yelena regretted every single moment of packing her bags. All she wanted to do was stay had protect you from anything.
"Please don't hate me dekta." Yelena walked away and grabbed her luggage heading towards the door.
"If you walk out that door Yelena I'm never going to forgive you" I yelled out towards Yelena. She stopped in her tracts and stood still. "I'm sorry y/n" she walked out the door leaving me in tears.
It had been two years since Yelena left. I never have gotten over her leaving, but I new it was for the best. I still stayed in the same house. She left me a couple of her clothes. They didn't smell like her anymore. I was still angry at her for leaving me and I always will be.
I had just got back from the store and noticed my door was opened slightly. I entered my apartment with caution. I looked around and I noticed someone come out of no where. I grabbed their hand and flipped them over. I was getting ready to punch them when I noticed their face.
"Please don't hit me" she held her hands in front of her face. I stood up and went to my door. "Get out of my house now." She stood up and held her hands up. "Y/n come on don't be like that." She tried to come closer, but I held my hand upright making her stay back. "No I said get out."
I could see the regret in her eyes. "Please just let me talk for one second. It's all I ask and then I'll leave." I shut the door "speak and then leave."
I was angry, she had the audacity to leave me and then show up again two years later. That's not how things work. " I have come back because I destroyed the red room and no one can hurt you now. Listen I know your angry and I can understand why, but I still love you and I never stopped loving you."
She knew what words to say every time. "Cut the bull crap Yelena. I told you that if you walked out that door I would never forgive you and I always stick to my word. Is that all you need to say." She looked me dead in the eyes. "I never wanted to hurt you y/n. I left because I wanted to protect you. I regretted every single minute of it, I hated packing my things and I hated walking out that door. I had to leave because if I didn't, he would have killed you and then killed me." I knew she was right, but I still was angry.
"Well what do you want me to do. It's not like you can just walk back in here and think I'm just going to forgive you and then we live happily ever after. No that's not how it works. You left me, I didn't leave you. I loved you Yelena, I love you and you ruined it. I was ready for anything to happen to me, even if it meant dying, as long as I was with you I was okay."
The tears were almost coming down my cheeks. "I couldn't sit back and watch him take the one thing that meant everything to me y/n. I couldn't let him take you away from me. You were and are everything to me and I know your mad at me, but I need you. I can't take it anymore because I love you and I need you back."
I stood in silence. I knew Yelena really did mean what she said. Everything that came out of her mouth was true. "That's really hard Lena, I can't just let you back in like that." She smiled at the nickname. "I know and I'm willing to wait for as long as you need to wait." She was so stubborn when it came to me.
"I don't know Yelena, It's a lot to just take in. And I don't know if it would be a...." Yelena came closer and kissed me forcing me to stop talking.
I had missed her touch and the way her lips feel on mine. The kiss was still going and she took her tongue and stuck it my mouth. She stopped and looked me in the eyes. "Please just accept my apology and be with me. Look I know it will be hard, but that kiss just proves that what we have is still there and that you miss me as much as I missed you."
I pulled her in for another kiss and she smiled into the kiss.
