"Y/n don't you dare" Yelena yelled as tears rolled down her face. I stopped in my tracks. We were on a mission.
I turned around to face the blonde. "Please don't make me stay" I felt myself breaking. I had to leave. He has a gun pointed to her head.
"Come with me y/n" the boss yelled. "No y/n stay" Yelena said, but the guard put the gun closer. "Baby I love you so much and I want you to remember that okay" tears began to fall down my face.
"No you are not leaving" she yelled. I closed my eyes knowing I couldn't watch her get killed. "I can't watch you die Yelena" I said with desperation. "I can't watch you leave" the gun still to her head.
"I'll always love you Lena, forever and always" I took a good look at her face before walking away. I could hear Yelena yelling, but I shut it out and kept walking.
Five years later
YELENA POV
I sat outside a cafe in the big city of New York. I was on a mission, but I didn't really care about the mission anyways. My heart slipped away when she left.Natasha and Wanda are always trying to get me to go out and do more, but if she's not going to be there with me then I didn't want to go.
"Yelena" a soft voice came from behind. "Yea bubs" I called out to my girlfriend. "What do you think about going somewhere with no communication and it be just me and you. And we could explore and maybe possibly even be normal humans, not with powers, or assassins, just normal" she smiled softly her auburn hair slightly in her face.
I moved it out the way ticking it behind her ear. "Anywhere you are I will be" she laughed and kissed the corner of my lips. "Good cause I don't want to be anywhere without you either" she laid her head in my lap. Her emerald green eyes looking up at me. "I love you Lena" she looked up at me with sincere eyes. "I love you too y/n."
I snapped out of my trance and looked up to find my target moving through the crowd. I stood up and began to follow them from behind. They turned the corner and I followed closely behind.
They stood in the middle of the alleyway. A knife came my way and I caught in. They then rushed into me, kneeing me in the process. They tried to punch me in the face, but I caught their fist and shoved them backwards.
The fighting style seemed familiar, but I couldn't be for sure as they were coming at me from left to right. Soon enough, I had them in the chokehold and they elbowed me in the stomach forcing me to let go.
When I looked up, there was a gun in my face. I could tell they hesitated. The gun went off and I checked my body, but nothing was harmed. I turned around to see a shield guard on the ground bleeding. When I turned back, my target was gone.
"Yelena" I could hear my sister through the ear piece. "There's a guard down, and the target got away" I answered back and went back to the compound.
Y/N POV
I was tied to a chair. "Y/n y/l/n, good to see you again" my face was numb. I felt empty, like I knew I had emotions, but nothing seemed to feel like I had any."I heard you encountered miss Belova today" the older man sat down in front of me. "Do you know miss Belova" he asked. I thought for a second. Her face seemed familiar, but when I tried to remember her, her face was a blur.
"No sir" I answered. "Then why isn't she dead" he yelled spit going all over my face. "I don't know sir" I looked straight ahead. "Oh you don't know really. Guards punish her maybe then she'll remember why she didn't kill Belova" he stood up and the guards laid me down in the chair. I felt a sharp pain in my arms before a waves of electricity went through my body making an awful scream come out of my mouth. After a minute of electricity, they dragged me off the chair and threw me in a cell, dumping water on me and cutting cold fans leaving me chained to the wall.
