I walked into the kitchen of the compound. Nat, Wanda, Steve, and Peter were all chilling around. "Oh hey y/n" Wanda said smiling. "Hey Wands did you finish your mission report" I asked her. Wanda usually forgets so I always have to remind her.
"I did and turned it in" she smiled taking a sip of her coffee. I went over to the fridge and went to find my drink, but it wasn't in there. Yelena walked in and stood behind me. "Can you speed up I have places to be" she said in that irritating voice she always used. "Can you wait I'm looking for something" I turned around a little irritated.
"Why do you do this every morning" she whined and rolled her eyes. "First of all this is like the first time I've lost something that was in the fridge and second of all you can wait" I went back into the fridge looking for my drink.
"No I can not wait I have to be somewhere" she urged. "Can you just shut the fuck up" I reached into my pocket and grabbed some money. "Here go buy whatever you need that's in here and leave me the fuck alone" I put the money to her chest.
She just sat there looking stupid. "You know what I'll leave" I huffed my breath before bumping her shoulder and walking out.
YELENA POV
I grabbed what I needed out the fridge and turned around to see a bunch of disappointed faces. "What" I said to all of them. "Why are you such a brat to
y/n" Natasha asked. "So you are taking her side now" I said hurt.
"No Yelena we just think you could be nicer to y/n. She's a good person. You are being unreasonable to her" Wanda spoke up.
"And why would I do that" I laughed as they all stared at me with straight faces. "Yelena, karmas a bitch and one of these days y/n is not going to be so nice to you" Nat said answering my question.
"Nice to me" I chuckled repeating her words. "Yes, nice to you. All you do is talk crap and be annoying to her and all she does is tell you to back off and then she just removes herself from you" Nat confirmed.
Tony walked in. "There is going to be a party and seven tonight and all of you are required to be there" he said and then walked out.
"I hate parties" Wanda said whining. They kept talking, so I just walked out. I was on the way to my room because I had two hours before the party. I could hear sniffling and crying coming from y/n's room. I peaked in her cracked door and looked inside. She was balled together on her bed crying. Was I the cause of it?
Now I felt bad. Something about her crying didn't sit right with me. I guiltily left and went to my room. Why was I so mean to her? She didn't do anything to me, in fact she's been nothing but nice to me.
Two hours passed and I made my way to the party. I came in and grabbed a drink and then taking my seat beside Nat. "Hey Yelena" she welcomed me.
"Hey" I answered. I looked towards the entrance.
Y/n walked in and I was too stunned to speak. She had on this strapless black dress that made her neck and collarbone more noticeable. The dress stopped about mid thigh, giving a good view of her long legs and tanned skin. Her makeup looked amazing. Her long curly hair about mid back length. She had on black hills that pulled the outfit together.
"Yelena" nat said finally snapping me out of the trance I was in. She followed my eyes and looked towards y/n. "Oh wow" she said also speechless.
I quickly turned away trying to push my thoughts away. "You know y/n's not that bad. I just don't know why you have such a problem with her" Nat said and it reminded me of what happen earlier today when she was crying. I just sat quietly. Y/n came up and sat in the couch in front of me and sat beside Wanda not paying much attention to me.
Gosh she was gorgeous. I just wanted to rip that. No, no, no Yelena what are you thinking. Her view is like a drug. The more I take it in the more I want to feel.
She laughed with Wanda and carried a conversation. Suddenly a charming man with a suit came up behind the two. He said something in y/n's ear and she smiled, blush clearly appearing across her face. I felt my blood boiling, but I knew I had to remain calm. She stood up and followed him over to the bar.
"Jealousy doesn't look good on you Yelena" Nat said laughing. "I'm not jealousy" I said clearing my throat. "Yeah whatever, your knuckles are white from you clenching your fist. You can see the redness in your face. You are totally jealous" Nat confirmed.
"Yeah whatever" I pushed it away. I then turned to see y/n and the guy making out. I quickly turned and downed my drink. "You should go stop her" Nat suggested. "What, no I'm not doing that" I leaned back in the chair.
"Yelena you like her. I mean I guess that's why you are always such a bitch to her. You can't control your feelings. So, just go over there and stop her. And if she doesn't then at least you tried" Nat suggested again.
I took a deep breath. "Just try" she said. I stood up and walked over to the bar. "Excuse me" I said and I could see y/n trying to turn her head but the guy kept going. "Excuse me sir" I said a little louder this time. He stopped and looked over at me irritably.
"Who are you" he said annoyed I was clearly taking away what he had been staring at as soon as she walked in and I couldn't lie so was I.
"Do you mind if I talk to her for a second" I said calmly not wanting to hurt the poor guy. " I do actually" he said making me angry. "Okay I don't care I'm going to talk with her anyways" I grabbed her arm and she was getting up, but he pulled her back. I wanted to rip his head off. I was just about to do something when y/n spoke up. "You know what I'll be back let me see what she wants" she said softly and following me out to the balcony.
"So what do you need are you here to tell me how stupid I look or something" she said annoyed and I couldn't blame her.
"No, I just" I couldn't finish my sentence. It felt like I had something caught in my throat and it wouldn't let me speak.
She sat quietly waiting for my response."I wanted to apologize for being rude earlier today and really any other time before that. It was wrong of me and I had no right to say those things to you when it clearly is further from the truth" I said and she softly smiled.
"Thank you I really appreciate that" she smiled and began to walk away. I grabbed her hand. "I like you" I blurted out and she looked confused.
"Like I like like you. And I was always such a bitch to you because I couldn't control the way I felt about you. And instead of telling you I became sacred and just said something mean and I couldn't stop. I'm not saying you have to stay, you can go back with him. I just wanted you to know" I said softly looking towards the ground. She sat there in shock.
"Yelena I don't know what to say" she said and I just wanted to run away. I had started to walk away. She grabbed my hand and pulled me in for a kiss. Everything went blank and the only thing I could focus on was her lips on mine.
We pulled apart and she rested her forehead on mine and we sat in silence. "I like you too" she smiled and pulled me in again. "We should go back to the party" I said pulling away.
Y/n smiled. "I think I have a better idea" she grabbed my hand and pulled me out the party.
