It was my first week at the avenger compound as an avenger. Everything was great. I had already had some experience with fighting since I was a baby, being in hydra.
All the avengers we're excited for me to be there.
I walked into the kitchen to grab something to drink before training. Natasha, Wanda, and Steve were sitting in there talking. "Oh hey y/n, I hope your ready for training with Yelena" Steve said catching my attention.
"Yeah don't be nervous, Yelena can be a little bit mean when it comes to training with new recruits" Natasha warned me. "Why would I be nervous of her, I have fought plenary of widows just like her. Her attitude doesn't scare me" I said taking a sip of my drink.
"Yelena was one of the best widows in the red room" Wanda added. I smirked "look guys I'll be okay, the blonde doesn't scare me" my British accent noticeable.
I walked out and went into the training room. Yelena was already getting ready. "I'm ready" I said putting my stuff down. "Well your late" she snapped back. "Actually I'm early, your clock is early" I told her and she scoffed and got into the sparring area.
"We're just going to spar and then we'll do a workout" she said instructing me. I stepped into the ring and put my arms up with my fist balled up for protection.
Yelena punched at me and I blocked it. "You know this is so much better than sparring in hydra" I said excitedly. She punched at me again but I blocked it.
I landed at punch on her face. I could tell she was getting irritated. She got a lick on me. We went back and forth for another hour. Natasha and Wanda walked in coming to check up on us.
I looked over at them and said "rule one never look away from your opponent" she then tried to punch me. I grabbed her hand and twisted it behind her back. "I'm always paying attention Belova" I said back. She rushed at me hitting me with punches, and kicks.
I tackled her into the wall and she grabbed a towel nearby and wrapped it around my neck. I grabbed the towel and flipped her over my head, but ended up falling with her. I landed on top of her.
I sat up and her eyes had this certain glint in them that I couldn't depict.
I help her up. "Can we workout now or are you going to throw another punch" I said joking. She didn't take my hand and stood up herself. "Workout is canceled" she rushed out the room.
"She'll come around" Natasha said giving me a proud smirk. "Yeah if she doesn't try to kill me first" I said joking.
"I've never seen someone give her a run for her money, but I have to say y/n you didn't put up with her crap. We need more people like you on the team" Natasha encouraged me. "What happened to the other recruits" I asked curiously.
"Well every time they got in, Yelena would always intimidate them, not on purpose, but they would end up quitting" Wanda explained.
"Well I don't plan on going anywhere" I laughed and walked past them going to clean up.
After taking a hot shower, I put on some jogging pants and a tank top and threw my hair up in a bun. I walked out my room and headed to the kitchen to grab something to eat.
"Oh hey y/n, you have your first mission tomorrow early in the morning" tony said informing me. "Oh okay, who will I be accompanying" I asked.
