"Yelena I'm sending you on a mission. You are to get to know the name Y/n Y/l/n and get close to her. Her brother has been up to something and we need you to find what that is" fury stated in the big meeting room as all the avengers listened for their assigned mission.

After he was done we all went our separate ways and I began to pack my bags. I had an apartment right across from hers, but I wouldn't meet her there. I would meet her at a cafe she goes to every morning.

I would have to make her believe she could trust me and then find out about her brother. It was around Christmas time, so New York was covered in red and green, Santa Claus, decorated trees, hot chocolate, and ugly sweaters.

The next morning I left and made my way to the cafe. They didn't give me a picture of her, but she'd be there. Her brother was a mafia leader. Big man in power. On the outside, he was a nice normal guy who enjoyed time with his sister.

I sat in the cafe and enjoyed the view of the big city. "Order for Y/n" the barista yelled. I looked up to see the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. She had dark hair, tanned skin, a nice figure, and deep green eyes.

I told myself I had to control myself, she was my mission. I stood up and walked behind her so when she'd turn around she'd bump into me.

Her coffee went all over me. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry" she rushed to get napkins and tried to dry my shirt.

I studied her face. Her cheeks were rosy from the cold, plum pink lips, and freckles that scattered on her face. "I'm not helping am I" her voice was pretty.

"No it's fine I have another shirt in my suitcase" she took the napkins off my chest. "Oh are you traveling" she question finding interest in the conversation.

"Yeah I got a new apartment here, I'm coming from Ohio" I lied. "Oh cool, sorry about your shirt" she pointed to my shirt and softly laughed embarrassed. "It's fine really, here buy you another coffee" I reached in my pocket and grabbed some money.

"No I couldn't, maybe it's the universe telling me that I need to stop drinking caffeine" she laughed to herself.

"Please take it" I asked again urging her to take the money. "Fine" she took it and put it her pocket.

"It was nice meeting you, but I have to go" I told the girl and walked out. I watched her through the window and she handed the money to the barista. "Here's a tip, sorry for the mess" she smiled and walked out.

I waited a few before following behind. As we came closer, I could see the apartment. I looked up. I felt an elbow to the stomach and I was flipped over onto the ground. I groaned in pain. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry. Why were following me" she grabbed hand and pulled me up.

Why was she so strong. " my apartment is right there" I pointed up and she followed my finger. "Oh we're neighbors" she questioned and I nodded still in pain.

"Where did you learn to do that" I question her. "Oh um I have been doing martial arts since I was little. My parents put me in them to "keep me safe"" she said looking down.

"You never gave me your name" I told her even though I already knew her name. "Y/n, yours" she reached her hand out. "Yelena" I shook her hand. Her skin was really soft.

"Your head is bleeding, let me help" she pointed towards my head. "Okay sure" I agreed and she helped me put my stuff in my apartment. We went over to her apartment and I followed her to the bathroom.

"This might burn" she began to clean the wound on my forehead. She was focused. Her house was extremely neat. It was modern, a splash of color here and there. She had a little Christmas tree on the island in the kitchen.
