Savior

       Present day, Shiganshina District in Wall Maria

10 year old Ari woke up feeling groggy and tired as he always did. He hates waking up in the morning, every time he just wants to go back to sleep. But still, he knows full well that if he doesnt wake up then his dad is gonna make him, it's the same thing every morning. He sighs and manages to make himself sit up in his bed. He looks around his dark room, he has to open the windows to get some light in here, even though he really doesn't want to.

He reaches above his head and aimlessly feels around in the dark

Ari:*sigh* every damn morning.

It takes him a solid minute to find the rope hanging above his head in the dark. Once he does find it he grips in hard and starts to pull. And quickly the system he rigged up when he was just six with the help of his mom and dad does its work. Every single one of the windows in his room opened up letting the sunlight in. Along with the sun comes the noise of people walking and talking on the streets, birds chirping, and a slight breeze. He looked around and saw his book shelf jam packed with things he'd been made to study by his parents ever since he was 5 that as a result he now practically knew by heart.

Fighting styles, different skills from things like cooking and camping, he actually really took a liking to the ones on engineering though, and of course the history of Marly and Eldia, although those books were hidden away in his dad's room. Speak of the devil, right on que he walked through the door fully dressed.

Dad: Time to get up Ari.

Ari sighed once again and got up out of bed. He was barefoot, shirtless, and only had on some shorts. With his eyes still not fully open and his brain also not fully up he stands slouching.

Ari: *yawn* Morning Dad.

He walks over to him slowly and gets his morning hug from him with a smile on his face.

Ari: Mmmm~

This was the one part of the morning he actually liked. Sadly he could no longer do it with both his mom and dad since his mom died two years ago.

Dad: Morning Ari.

They both enjoyed the hug for a minute before it was broken and dad said what he did every morning.

Dad: Breakfast in 5 minutes.

Ari: Yeah, yeah I know, I'll be there.

His dad smiled at him and turned around and went downstairs, leaving Ari alone. Ari slipped on a t-shirt and a pair of socks like he always did. He walked over to his window and took in a breath of fresh air.

Ari: Aaaaah~.... I wonder what you two are up to.

Just in his view in the distance sat the house of the Jaegers, very close family friends. He was very close with Eren and Mikasa and their friend Armin. He smiled remembering all the fun they have had. Playing together, laughing, and getting into trouble together. Although Eren was the one often getting into trouble and it was usually up to himself and Mikasa to bail him out each time. Meanwhile Grisha and his dad always found a way to disappear and talk, they are so weird together.

Ari walked over and looked at himself in the mirror in his room. He had deep brown eyes, brown hair that was somewhat short with a middle part. Even despite being 10 he had visible muscles thanks to all the work he put in.

He then realized that his 5 minutes was almost up and headed down stairs to get some breakfast. He found two plates set next to each other, one for him and one for his dad. Eggs and some bread like it was almost every morning, but still, he had to admit he liked it. He sat down next to his dad and they both started eating.
