Casualty

It had only been a few days since Ari and Sasha had their little dinner evening with Pieck as well as Gabby and Falco. It had been less than a week, but a lot had changed. First of all security within the internment zone was beefed up in anticipation of the Tybers visit along with representatives from all around the world. Ari and Sasha were put to work, more than the recon they were already doing. Ari spent most of his time outside the district planting timed explosives at critical points like at Rail transport hubs, bridges, communication points, and other places. All in an effort to delay reinforcements to the internment zone for what was coming. Ari knew exactly what time to set them to in order to kill as many as possible.

On the final day though, the day right before Willy Tyber was set to take the stage Ari made a stop he was not scheduled to. He stopped at an Army hospital that was currently treating traumatized and wounded patients from the war that had ended not that long ago. There he made his way to the back of the small hospital. Once there he met with a patient there under the name Eren Kruger, he also met with Zeke Yeager. Eren was his usual emotionless self while Zeke and Ari showed a little more. They all knew what was about to happen, what they were about to do. Did they have any doubts? Any private thoughts to try and change the future they had all seen or been told of? One of them did.

Eren: Is everything in place?

Ari: You know it is.

Zeke: Good, we are so close to finally ending two millennia of suffering.

Ari: Just make sure you're where you need to be, Zeke.

Zeke: I will be, don't you worry Ari. Make sure you're where you need to be as well.

Eren: You really did come up with a great plan here, Ari. It's something Erwin would come up with.

Everyone looked at Eren, the fact that he would say something like that in front of Zeke, the man who killed Erwin was surprising.

Ari: Yeah, guess it is.

Zeke: Anyway, When we all get to Paradise-

Ari: We will stick to the plan there as well. I've told you all you need to know.

Zeke hadn't been fully filled in on everything, something very purposefully done by Ari.

Zeke: Very well then, in that case I hope you both pull your punches on me a little tomorrow.

Ari: Tch, I still want some payback for your minions nearly killing me a while back.

Zeke: I would hope we could have moved past that by now. As a gesture of goodwill I instructed Reiner, and Pieck to tell no one that you have the Warhammer.

Eren: Ari has always had a long memory.

Zeke: I guess so, after all your fathers trained you both to have one to accomplish their missions. At last we will put an end to that.

Ari: Yeah, I guess you could put it like that.

Zeke: Tomorrow, we make history.

Ari then stood up from the bench he was sitting on and got ready to go.

Ari: You got that. See you all tomorrow, make sure you're ready.

With that Ari went back to his and Sasha's apartment. Ari has been the only one in contact with Eren and Zeke, no one else knew about, no one else knew about their plan.

It was dark out when Ari got back and Sasha was scrambling around making sure everything was ready.

Sasha: You're late, what kept you?

Ari: Sorry, a cop struck up a conversation with me. I couldn't get away.

Sasha: At least the police are willing to talk to you.
