Timeskip 3 days into the expedition.

The last few days were great for both of them, they spent each night together in the tent. No matter how small that thing was to them it felt like heaven. During the day they both worked together to do things like get food, materials, and water. Christa had been putting some of the skills Ari taught her to good use. And eventually they had made it to the base camp, they were not the first but they were really proud of themselves when they made it. As a result of them making it they would each get 4 days leave to do whatever they wanted to as long as they were back at the end of that four days.

It had been a day since everyone had gotten back from the expedition, not a whole lot of people passed. Sasha and Marco, Andrew and Katlynn, Annie and Mikasa, Connie and Bertholdt and of course Ari and Christa were the only ones who made it back. Since Eren didn't make it Mikasa said she was going to stay behind and do the training. Connie was going to go with Sasha to a little festival, Annie didn't share her plans, Marco and Bertholdt were both going to Trost for different reasons, and Andrew and Katlynn were going back to their home district. That just left Christa and Ari who didn't know what they were gonna do, yet. And their 4 days officially started in a week.

Ari and Christa were in the mess hall in the early morning again. Both of them arrived at the same time and got their trays together, and of course they sat together.

Ari: Good morning, my love.

Christa: Good morning, darling.

They both hugged each other and then lightly kissed. In addition to a morning hug they now had that and a morning kiss as well. They both started eating but even though neither one of them said it, they both knew they had the same questions lingering on their minds.

Ari's and Christa's thoughts: What are we gonna do over the next four days?

After Ari took a bite out of a potato and Christa ate some of her toast they each wondered who would be the one to ask the question. Eventually the answer turned out to be Christa.

Christa: So, do you have any ideas for our little vacation?

Ari sighed and looked a little embarrassed.

Ari: No, I'vee been racking my brain but I just can't think of anything. I'm sorry.

Christa:*sigh* Don't be, I've got nothing either. I've thought about going to Trost, but I can't think of anything to do there. The interior would be fun to see but we can't afford that and it's too far away.

They both sat feeling a little defeated. Both of them ate their breakfast together and desperately brainstormed. Apart from the morning when they ate they basically never got alone time, now they would have 4 whole days. But they just didn't know what to do with it.

After both of them were close to finishing their meals Christa suddenly perked up and turned to Ari. She grabbed his arm and smiled up at him.

Christa: I know! Let's go back to the forest, we can have a proper camping trip!

Ari thought about it for a second. It certainly was better than any idea Ari had come up with. But he still wasn't exactly sure.

Ari: hmmmm, Are you sure Christa? I mean we were just there.

Christa nodded and got a little closer to him with a big smile.

Christa: Yeah! I mean think about it. We had a lot of fun last time, it was just the fact we were constantly looking for the basecamp that was stressful. But now we know the area, we can bring more supplies for it to be comfy, and it will be just us this time we will have the whole forest to ourselves.
