Ruler of the Walls

They all arrived at the Orvud Garrison HQ, the scene there could best be described as a panicked chaos. This was the north, it had basically never seen combat before, the people here were inexperienced. Many of the soldiers here had never even seen a titan before, let alone one that was as abnormal as Rod and one that was twice the size of the colossal. But they would have to do, there wasn't any time to bring up experienced troops. After they all stepped off their horses and carriages Levi intercepted Historia.

Levi: Historia. Forgot to tell you...We need you to do something.

Historia: What is it?

Levi: Erwin's orders. When this battle is over, since you're the true successor to the throne, become the Queen.

Jean, Connie, Andrew, Katelynn: EH?

Sasha: Q-Queen?! Historia!?

Levi: The coup d'état was successful, but the people won't follow a regiment sitting at the top. What we need is a story to spread. That a true heir retook the crown from the fake.

Andrew: Captain? Historia just finally managed to break free from her bond. And now you're well...

Levi: Andrew, if you've got something to say then say it.

Katelynn: What he's saying is that Historia only just found herself, and now you're asking her to-

Historia: All right!

Everyone was a little surprised, apart from Ari who smiled at her.

Historia: My next duty is to become Queen. Understood. Thank you all for your concern, but it's my choice, and I want it....But, Captain, I do have one condition. Since my fate is my own, I want to lay it all on the line.

Levi simply nodded and they all got going again. Ari and Historia had to get ODM gear on, Historia also had to change out of her white dress. Ari found a small office that wasn't being used and started to get prepped. As Ari put on a shirt and his ODM he took some time to process what was happening.

Ari's thoughts: God, what the hell has been happening? My girlfriend is about to become queen. Her father tried to get her to eat me. Now we need to kill that same father before he destroys the entire town. Not to mention the fact I just told all my friends stuff they would have never even dreamed about.

Ari then was brought back to the real world by having his shoulders vigorously shaken from behind.

Ari: Aaaaaaaa! I'm back! I'm back!

He turned around and saw Historia giggling to herself since she once again had to yank Ari out of his deep thoughts. Ari didn't even notice her coming in, even though she had on noisy ODM gear now.

Historia: You're never gonna stop doing that will you?

Ari: Guess not, I didn't even think I was that deep in.

Historia: It's a good thing I came to talk to you. Who knows how long you would have been in here? You might have gone through the entire battle.

Ari: Thanks for saving me again, I suppose. So what did you want to talk about?

Historia cleared her throat and took one step back. She smiled up at Ari and grabbed something out her back pocket and hid it in her fist.

Historia: Ari Foerster?

She then got down on one knee in front of Ari and unraveled her fist and showed a nut she had gotten from the maintenance room. Its edges appeared to have been smoothed though very recently.

Historia: Will you marry me?

Ari's eyes widened and his heart beat a little faster in his chest. This was something he had thought about, but he didn't expect it to happen so suddenly, let alone like this. It was another thing to add to this crazy day. His surprise quickly vanished though and he smiled back down at Historia, his heart filled with love.
