Calm

It didn't take Long for Ari to reach the Scouts HQ, once he got there he immediately sensed a different environment. These guys were professionals who took their job seriously, and Ari loved that. Immediately he went to work on their unbelievably difficult training courses, he was a rookie but he still put up impressive numbers and managed to get a few pats on the back. But without anyone he really knew and especially without Christa the week dragged by incredibly slowly.

Eventually Ari read in the papers that Eren had been declared innocent and handed over to the Scouts. This really boosted his morale and it was boosted even further when Ari heard that the recruiting event for all the cadets was set to take place that very night, meaning that Christa and all the others could at last come and join him. Eren arrived early after his trial was over and when they saw each other they immediately hugged, so happy to be reunited after everything that had happened.

Ari: It's so good to see you man!

Eren: You as well, you got a head start on me here, guess I gotta catch up!

Ari: Sounds to me you gotta heal up first, I heard Captain Levi beat the shit out of you.

Eren: Yeah he did, but I'm all better now. Apparently I have that ability.

Both of them got to work, strangely enough when Levi got back the one skill he made sure both of them had was how to properly clean. Quickly they learned from everyone that you did not wanna piss Levi off, and if you didn't want to piss him off then you keep everything clean. Eren however was evidently not that good at this while Levi considered Ari to be barely acceptable.

Then at long last all the new recruits arrived and Ari was ecstatic to see Christa again. Ari and Eren waited by the gate until finally they heard multiple wagons approach. Immediately Ari and Eren's faces light up as soon their friends piled out of the wagon. The first one was Christa and as soon as they spotted each other they ran to each other at full speed and hugged.

Christa: Mmmmmm, it's so good to see you, Ari!

Ari: I really missed you, I'm glad you're here now!

Mikasa, Armin, Reiner, Bertholdt, Connie, Sasha, Andrew, Katlynn and Jean, got out as well and greeted the two happily. Ari and Eren were very surprised to see Jean there.

Ari: Wait, Jean, you gave up your life in the MPs to join the Scouts?

Jean: Well, After what happened I guess I couldn't just live in the interior anymore. I wanna fight now.

Meanwhile Mikasa went right to Eren.

Mikasa: Eren, have they mistreated you in any way?! Like studying and examining every bit of you? Or putting you through mental anguish?

Eren: N-no, not at all.

As Ari looked over though he only noticed that two were absent.

Ari: So only Annie and Marco joined the MPs?

Everyone looked down for a moment and saddened, Jean was the one who Broke the quick silence.

Jean: Marco died.

Ari and Eren took a moment, they had absolutely no idea, both of them left Trost really before the cleaning process had begun. Ari had been busy with his thing and of course Eren was on trial, the only casualty reports they had seen were faceless numbers in the papers. Marco was always a good guy, and the fact that he was gone just like that hurt. Christa saw this and took Ari's hands to console and comfort him.

Ari smiled down at her, but neither could enjoy the others' comfort for very long as a Scout behind them yelled and got their attention. He told them their new uniforms were here, this managed to break all of their sadness a little as they scurried over for their long awaited uniforms. Soon after they were given the tour and their orientation began, Ari and Eren had already gone through most of this but they wanted to go through it again now that their friends were there. They were taught about the Scouts formation and how it works, they were also taught where they would be in that formation apart from Eren who's name was never spoken thus keeping where he would be a secret.
