Ari: Ready to go, honey?

Sasha: Of course, sweetie. let's go.

Ari and Sasha exited their apartment, Sasha made sure had on her yellow armband whilst Ari made sure he had his identification papers in his back pocket. They made their way down the creaky stairs of the apartment building they have lived in for the past month. Although the records of the building actually say they have been living there for the past two years.

Their relationship was always one that drew eyes. Ari was a Marleyan and thus had to wear no armband. His wife, Sasha however was a child of Ymir and so had to wear an identifying yellow armband. They walked arm in arm with smiles on their faces, Ari had a bottle of wine in his other hand. This was a gift for their friend they were on their way to see, someone they had met a bit back when she had gotten leave from her work in the military.

Now that the Mid-east war was over and Marley was victorious, their friend had returned home and lived in Liberio with them. As they walked the streets of the internment zone they both lived in they enjoyed the calm. It was dark out, the dim street lights lit the way. The only real noise could be heard coming from people's homes or outside the internment zone where large amounts of people were allowed on the street at night.

After about a 10 minute walk the pair entered into their friends apartment building and climbed up the stairs to the 4th floor. When they arrived Sasha knocked on the door, footsteps could be heard within the apartment getting closer to the door and soon after one black haired, honorary Marleyan answered the door with a big smile.

Pieck: Appo, Sanna, so great to see you!

All three hugged in the doorway and Pieck invited her good friends in and their small dinner began. All three enjoyed the wine Ari who was using the fake name Appo and Sasha who was using the fake name Sanna gobbled up the pasta Pieck had prepared. Pieck marveled at how fast Sasha could eat, meanwhile Ari told Pieck about his job outside the district. He was a math professor at a nearby Marley college and he loved telling stories about his students.

After they all had finished dinner Ari asked Pieck about her life in the military and her role as the Cart titan. Pieck was more than happy to share, especially after a few glasses of Ari's wine. Ari meanwhile made a lot of mental notes about what she said about things like her movement and her crew that operated the machine guns on her back. They all just generally enjoyed the evening with their friends and loved ones. After about an hour and a half of them talking there was a knock on Pieck's door.

Ari: Were you expecting someone, Pieck? We can leave if you want.

Pieck: No, no please stay. I'll go check and see who it is.

Pieck got up and walked over and opened the door and was greeted by two younger friends of hers. Gabby and Falco, two Marley warrior candidates.

Pieck: Gabby, Falco, great to see you! What are you doing here?

Gabby: Hey, Pieck! We just wanted to come by. Look what Vice War Chief Reiner gave us!

Falco lifted up a pack of cinnamon bread, something that was very rare for Eldians living in the internment zone. Pieck's face lit up at the generous offer to share it and she of course invited them in. When they did enter though they were surprised to see two people they did not recognize sitting at Pieck's table.

Pieck: Some very good friends of mine. Gabby, Falco, this is Mr. Appo Jenster and Mrs. Sanna Jenster.

The married couple smiled and waved at the children.

Falco: Nice to meet you two!

Gabby: It's always nice to meet Pieck's friends!

Truth be told Ari and Sasha already knew these children, during their recon they had identified them as targets of interest. They were warrior candidates and Gabby was directly related to Reiner. They sat at the table and asked Ari and Sasha a bunch of questions while Pieck sliced up the bread on a cutting board. When she finished she placed the cutting board with the slices of rare bread on the table.
